Boult's Lyrita CD version is well worth a spin - rapid but very dashing!

flyingtadpole, Mark Eager conducting the Hertfordshire Wind Sinfonia (also on youtube) observes an acceptable tempo - faster than Imogen's but still well within the authentic limits. And the sound he gets is excellent. But Imogen wins the day. When the two tunes combine at 2.20 she really lets her father's music strut its stuff without sounding rushed or bombastic.

Do you know, this is about the only version on youtube played at the right speed? Perhaps it's something to do with the conductor :)
