@nismofury First Thessalonian 49 AD-Revelation 95 AD. All books of the NT were written within 20-65 years of Jesus' death.

So, if he was supposedly born around yr 1, and was crucified at 30? 33? Right? It's pointless. Convincing me is as pointless as it it is showing the holes in this logic.
Is there evidence for Jesus' existence? who knows. No other person in history has compelled people to do more than Jesus Christ. People want to say he is as relevant as the easter bunny or santa clauss. That is BS. There is something about Jesus that people cannot get past. He is the most polarizing person in the history of the world, bar none. And that in and of itself is saying something.
Christians forget that we are to live by faith and not by sight. They also forget Jesus' greatest commandments "love God and love your neighbor as yourself". Many Christian apologists have made a living off trying to stay relevant in today's world. All the while ignoring the simple teachings of Jesus. Let someone say that Jesus did not exist or that evolution is true. Jesus went as far as saying to love your enemy and overcome evil with good.
This is OLD NEWS. Many of us who are actually educated know that Christ certainly existed, and that there were many historical sources proving it. Only an utter fool who has a secular humanist agenda makes the lying claim that Jesus Christ never existed!
Josephus' works were interpolated by later Christian propogandisers. Tacitus had confused Christus with Judas the Gaulonite. Sulpicius Severus may have interpolated Tacitus adding in the anti-Nero stuff.
Let me take a wild stab in the dark at what this video will try and bring to the table:
Flavius Josephus and his forged "Testimonium Flavianum", Tacitus' annals - written 80+ years after Jesus died (not contemporary in the slightest), and Pliny the Younger, who relays hearsay and doesn't even mention a "Jesus" figure at all. Pliny (a non contemporary to Jesus) is simply relaying what Christians believed/did. How does that make it a "historical" fact?!? Inquiring minds would like to know...
@Jcm9991 - I doubt TF was forged. It seems more like a riddle then anything else. If you read the two chapters after it then they all seem to be telling us something.
The first (TF) about Jesus and the last seems to be about "Paul". Sandwiched inbetween is the chapter known as "the Perils of Paulina".
It is about a woman who was TRICKED into sleeping with a God, but it is Mundus. He reason for doing this "I care not for the business of names".
@AllKnowingCreator He will punish me for the life of sin i lead without asking his forgiveness???? What sins have i commited that require him to torture me for eternity? I would be an absolute hypocrite if i asked for his forgiveness, knowing , in my heart, i didnt believe in him. My integrity is non negotiable.
@AllKnowingCreator My friend, i do read the bible, .. it's a man made creation. Why didn't Jesus write anything down if his message to humanity was so important.?
God is going to punish me for eternity because i doubted him? .. nice god you got there.
@bonnie43uk He is a jealous God. You serve a master either you know it or not. He won't punish you, you will just go with the one you serve and no one can serve two masters.
he probably existed, but as regards to supernatural claims and him being the son of god, i dont believe it for one second. I do not accept jesus christ as my saviour. .. now, whats my punishment??
There is a HOLY GHOST REVIVAL GOING ON,HERE IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,JESUS CHRIST IS PULLING DOWN THE STRONG HOLDS IN PEOPLES LIVES.THANK YOU JESUS<WE PRAISE YOU.AMEN
The HOLY GHOST BEARS WITNESS TO MY SOUL,THAT JESUS CHRIST IS QUITE ALIVE AND REAL,JESUS CHRIST IS THE SAME YESTERDAY,TODAY AND FOREVER. FOR EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW AND EVERY TONGUE CONFESS THAT JESUS CHRIST IS LORD OF LORDS AND KING OF KINGS. Let`s give GOD all THE PRAISE AND THE GLORY,AMEN.
The teachings, meaning his words, of Jesus of Nazareth (who I consider my Lord and Savior) are great moral teachings. Even non-Christians, Atheist and Agnostics usually agree that following the words of Christ will lead to a Kind and Generous life and world. My good friend that is an Atheist believes that Jesus was the greatest spiritual teacher of all time.
Jesus is the light of the world... He came as the manifestation of God into flesh to die for our sins so that we may have a chance of salvation. This is well documented and repeated throughout the whole bible many times, anyone who says otherwise is not playing with a full deck and should be ignored for their lies and asked to get help, pray for them. Especially those from the made up Islamic belief who stole scripture in order to try and legitimize their lies.

Given it some thought, the question I would ask is, so why didn't the Christian faith die with Jesus after all who wants to talk about follow instruct or preach to others about a liar or a least a crazy man or manipulative fraud, in an obviously hostile environment.
In reference to previous comments i made about why would so many be prepared to die for him I would point those interested to Foxe's book of matyrs, of course without faith these things can't be proven but questions can be asked,
But we are no longer bound to observe the Passover feast the way the Old Testament Jews were, but they should not look down upon another believer who does or does not observe the Passover or other special Jewish days and feasts (Romans 14:5).
Awesome video!!! It doesn't surprise me how many people making these comments don't believe in Jesus because Revelation 1:7 say's that when He comes back to earth that many on the earth at that time will mourn because of Him. Some will weep tears of joy in acceptance and some will weep because their wicked hearts will reject Him. People don't believe because of the wickedness in their hearts not so much as because they need proof because the proof Biblical and historical is already there.
Flavius Josephus - born too late to have been an eyewitness to Jesus, except maybe as an infant. Cornelius Tacitus - born too late to have been an eyewitness to Jesus at all. Pliny The Younger - born too late to have been an eyewitness to Jesus at all. Celsus - wasn't even born in the same century as Jesus. Everything these people wrote was written after the fact - it's hearsay evidence, not actual evidence from eyewitnesses. Nice try but a huge FAIL!
Jesus (pbuh) was only sent down to retrieve the lost tribes of Israel. Thats what his missoin was, he was not meant to be the universal teacher. The prophecies regarding this prophet do not match him. They DO match the Prphet Muhammad Peace Be upon him. Even in the bible it states that he was sent to retrieve the lost tribes.
@egekilde90 as a matter of fact, deuteronomy(18:15-18) " I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their fellow Israelites, and I will put my words in his mouth. He will tell them everything I command him." is talkin about Muhammad pbuh. Jesus did not bring about a new law, rather, he had come to fulfil it. Clearly, this verse states that "i will put my words in his mouth" means that he will give him a new law(a new religion).
@egekilde90 In order for something to be from God, it mustnt contain any errors...agreed? Well if so, the bible either originally wasnt a book of God, or there have been additions and subtractions in it. Whichever it is, it denies Christianity to be the Religion of God. The bible contains a great amount of contradictions, unethical and irrational teachings.
@egekilde90 I personally have read about MANY contradictions and unethical. For example in the old testament in Exodus 21: 20-21 we read about cruelty, and how it is acceptable because slaves and bondwomen are mens property. Likewise with Deuteronomy 7:2, where it again teaches something that could never be from God. Parts of the bible also defame other prophets such as Genesis 9:20-22. There are several more parts which defy the originality of modern day Christianity and the bible.
@mixcatcom Passover to me is a phrophecy of the the coming of Christ the sacrificial blood on the door lintel and doorposts in the shape of the cross to free the believers from the angel of death, timing of the death and resurection at the same time as the passover ...amazing
@grapes128 the Passover Feast was a foreshadowing of Christ’s atoning work on the cross. Colossians 2:16-17 tells us that we should “let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or Sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ” (NKJV).
@AhmadiyyatTheTruth John 14:16 is the holy spirit that will be sent as the comforter. Not Muhammad.
Habakkuk 3:3 Paran is not near Mecca where Muhammad came from, but is hundreds of miles away. Second, the text is speaking of God coming, not Muhammad who denied being God. Third, the “praise” does not refer to Muhammad (whose name means “the praised one”), since the subject of “praise” and “glory” is God (“His”).
@mixcatcom He will shine from Paran. This area is the name of the hills which lie between Mecca and Medina in Saudi Arabia. This territory has always been called paran (arabic Faran). Ten thousand saints, directly implies the battle of Badr in which the Prophet Muhammad lead an army of ten thousand.
@mixcatcom Firstly, if you ask even the samlles child in Arabia, and ask them where paran is, they'll telll u its not too far. Moses said that the promised one would rise with ten thousand saints. Jesus never had a following of ten thousand with him, but the Holy Prophet did."and burning coals went at his feet." what did the opposers of the Holy Prophet do to him? they burnt his followers with hot coal. The hills, and mountains in the same prphecy mean enemies of his.
This reference to Jesus supposedly written by Josephus is obviously phony. Josephus was not a Christian. As such, he would never refer to Jesus as a speaker of "truth" because the Jews, for the most part, did not believe in Jesus or what he taught. For Josephus to refer to Jesus as a speaker of truth would be to suggest that he, Josephus and other Jews, believed in lies. Furthermore, to give Jesus just one paragraph in such a vast body of work further suggests that it's a fake inclusion.
MUSLIMS BELIVE OUR BIBLE IS CORRUPT BUT YET THEY STILL REFER TO THE HOLY BOOK. THEY PICK AND CHOOSE VERSUS TO TRY AND FIT THE FALSE PROPHET (MUHAMMAD)
@AhmadiyyatTheTruth Deuteronomy 34:10 This text cannot refer to Muhammad since the prophet to come would be like Moses who did “…all the signs and wonders which the LORD sent him to perform in the land of Egypt against Pharaoh, all his servants, and all his land (Deut. 34:11).” Muhammad, even by his own confession, did not perform miracles. (Surah 2:118; 3:183).
@mixcatcom Yes, but it is mispercieved by Christians that Jesus did perform miracles. When it says that Jesus cured the blind and helped them see, it means that he opened their eyes to the truth. He awakened the dead means he brought those who had gone astray back to the right path etc. Religion must approve of the human logic, and these metaphorical phrases do not imply it as it says. Please read the book : "Christianity a journey from facts to fiction" It will answer all your questions.
@AhmadiyyatTheTruth Hi & God bless,. Jesus declared himself to be God, that's why the Pharisees killed him. Jesus came to give us Life, eternal Life through him because he is God and only God can give life. Jesus is God as prophesied by Isaiah 700 years before he came (Isaiah 9:6).
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace
@webhutspain God bless you too. In this exact verse u have given, not one of the titles that were attributed to Jesus. For instance, did Jesus ever become king? was he ever called mighty by anyone? As being a prophet, he was peaceful, but was his message about pce as emphasised as the Prophet Muhammad's. Neither could he have been the everlasting father, for he had foretold of another prophet that would come after him. All these signs are precisely attributed to the Holy Prophet of Islam.
@AhmadiyyatTheTruth Thomas called Jesus God. God is Mighty right? I don't know of any other child born or son given that has ever been called God other than Jesus.
Was Jesus ever described as King? - Yes, in the book of Revelation he is called King of Kings.
Did he ever become King? Yes:
Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Matthew 28:18
@AhmadiyyatThe(Truth) JESUS CHRIST IS THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD MOST HIGH,JESUS CHRIST HAS ALL AUTHORITY ,both in Heaven and on Earth, only Jesus can forgive a man his sins, there is no other way into Heaven except through JESUS CHRIST.(To say, you have no sin, your SIN REMAINS)If you die in your sins, you will be Judged GUILTY by GODS OWN LAWS. REPENT, FOR THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS AT HAND.
Islam's Isa (prophet Jesus) will be an evil being that will soon come and order the execution of all who refuse to convert to Islam as he does away with the Jizya tax.
If you look at the prophecies believed to be regarding Jesus Christ (peace be upon him), the description does not match. Yes, those prphecies, but they talk about The Prphet Muhammad, peace be upon him. Open your eyes and look at it in a totally unbiased perspective.
1) If Deuteronomy 18:18 is regarding Mohammed then according to Deuteronomy 17:15 can u name any Ishmaelite whom Israelite appointed king over them?
2) If Deuteronomy 18:18 is talking about prophet coming out of Israel then in John 1:21 why Pharisees asked are you the prophet to John the Baptist? they are supposed to ask this question to a non-Israelite.
Israelite are clear about the prophet to come from the Israelite only. So Mohammed cannot be the prophet mentioned.
say what you want world at the end of day we kown in our soul we cry out for jesus so you want live porverty and sin and hate then go ahead.if you want a better life say this words jesus come into my heart and be my lord and savior i thank for what you did at the cross for i want to love you are something new in jesus name we pray amen you are now save and eirs and co eirs of the kingdom of heaven now go and to a pentocostal church and begin to live bette life i love all and jesus loves you :)
The quote from Josephus(called the Testimonium Flavianum) is widely known, among both secular and religious scholars, to be a forgery. It is out of context given what he writes about Christians elsewhere, and other earlier copies exist which are greatly different from this quote suggesting that an early Christian scribe altered it. Even if it wasnt a forgery it was written over forty years after the death of Jesus by someone who never met him.
Yes, it is likely that a man by the name of Jesus lived. That, however, is all we know. The rest is no more than hearsay. There are no accounts of Jesus from when he lived. None, zero, zip, nada. If he was half the big deal that the Bible claims he was then this alone should be highly suspect. It is likely that Jesus was a normal human being about whom embellished stories have come to be told.
@ColumbiaGorgeGuy ; claiming that something is a forgery is one of the easiest ways of making something "look" like it is not true. FOr instance, it is said that the "Protocols of Zion" are said to be a forgery, but the strange thing about that is that they are being proven true more and more every day. It is the same as with the Bible. Even if we agree that Jesus was just a good man, the fact that everything God says about the sinfulness of man is true and prophecies are still being fulfilled.
I see people reasoning that Christ didn't exist, because other people of that time had the same name. This is where worldly logic leads you. This is the same kind of reasoning that is often used, when people are attempting to deny the existence of God. You cant see Him, so He doesn't exist. The same could be said of gravity, but then, people would also be wrong about that, wouldn't they? He exists, because He "Lives" inside me.This can only be understood from a spiritually viewpoint.
@ColumbiaGorgeGuy : I appreciate what you are saying, but I a speaking of an individual, on their own. As they experience gravity, individuals don't know, without science telling them that it is a universal law. When a person is born from above, they do not know what is actually happening and, although it seems that it can not be scientifically proven, it is proven nonetheless, The proof, however, is spiritual. The fact that it can' be proven scientifically, doesn't make it any less real.
@ColumbiaGorgeGuy : what I mean is that the proof is in Scripture, which is written by holy men of God, through the power of the Holy Spirit, therefore, it is spiritual. The Bible states in 1st Corinthians 2:14 "The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned.. One who is not born "of the spirit (from above) cannot and will not be able to understand things that are spiritual.
@txjignpig : You say, "The chief one (prophecy) that he would live a long life and have many children." was not fulfilled. May I please interject, "He lives forever - He's eternal - That's a pretty long life, I'd say. Secondly, He had MANY children, I am one of them. From to a worldly understanding, it may seem that Christ didn't fulfill all the prophecies. However, from a Spiritual perspective, He fulfilled them all. Spiritual things are spiritually discerned, because they are spiritual.
Interestingly, the fact He was accused of using demons to fulfill His miracles is completely assinine. If there are demons, then there are Heavenly angels (are demons not the fallen angels?) If there are Heavenly angels, there is Heaven. It doesn't take the brightest to figure out that there then must also be God. The fruits He bestowed upon everyone was evidence enough of who He was & Is, not to mention that Satan would NEVER give up his life for ANYONE & especially in such an insufferable way.
blood red moon tomorrow, could it be the rapture, ive heard dreams and pridictions it could be, then there will be a u.f.o display on 1st day of new year, aliens claiming to be the cause of rapture ?
What will prove to the world that most,if not all, of us existed in 2000 years. Records get destroyed, lost in time. Everything is on a computer now, and all that will be completely wiped out in 2000 years, with no record of us. There is probably more proof of Jesus as a man than there will be of us.
fakeham all of the historians mentioned in the video are widely accepted as "reliable sources". they're deemed credible by many people who hold far more credibility than you or i. accuracy has never been in question. if jesus was not a religious figure then it is unlikely his existence would have ever been in question.
if the point of this video is to prove that Jesus Christ actually existed in history by quoting non-Biblical writers, then I would have to say it fails. It would be like if I reported that there were rumors of a monster living in Loch Ness? So what? Reports of this or that don't "prove" that the reports are correct. Christianity is a faith-based religion. Sure, I guess it's nice if you are a believer and can find extra-Biblical evidence that Jesus existed, but it still boils down to faith.
sorry, i have a little bone to pick with this video. The video says Cornelius Tacitus did not attempt to dismiss Jesus Christ as a myth; but just before this Tacitus is quoted as saying that Jesus Christ (or at least belief in Jesus) is/was a "pernicious superstition." there is no difference between calling something a "myth" and calling it a "pernicious superstition." the video maker's logic has a serious break down at this point.
A witness has to be there at the time. The first thing to ask of any witness is "when were you born?" In the case of Josephus, the best and nearest to a contemporary witness there is, the answer is Josephus would have been conceived several months after Jesus breathed his last. Nothing he says can be considered reliable. Are you a good witness to events which happened before you were even born? Nobody, not even a Christian, wrote a word about Jesus until the story was over.
If Christ was a fake why do the historical records state that so many were prepared to die for him, He was either a total fraud who from historical evidence could do tricks, or he was more than a man, because few will die for a man, but who would die not for a man, not for a good man, but for a memory of a man, a man who was just a fraud. Would you die for a dead man who conned you into by saying he would raise from the dead, possibly, if something made you believe that what he said was true.
@grapes128 People are prepared to die for Muhammad, people were prepared to die for Hirohito. What does that prove? Only what we already know: people are gullible and are prepared to die over absurdities.
@grapes128 There are 14,000,000 Mormons who believe Joseph Smith was visited by the angel Moroni who revealed the location of the golden plates to him. Would you give up your life to follow this dead mans religion because so many others have?
@mixcatcom Fulfilled prophecy? You mean the story of his life was told in such a way as it chimed in with passages in scripture, including many which were never in a million years intended to be any form of prophecy, including Psalms and passages from Genesis, from a time when the Hebrews were polytheistic and didn't even believe in Satan let alone eternal life.
@Downfacingdog If it WAS the French who renamed Him, they were in great error by doing so. His name (which does NOT translate from the Hebrew OR Aramaic, is Yeshua Hamashiach or, if one feels compelled to translate means, Salvation of God. Someone or a group of whomever got in there & changed His Holy name. Most likely the minions of Satan who still exist in the world today, dumbing us down, creating economic ruin, diseases, insufferable weather, & war for profit.
On another note, you can't mash together 3 historical accounts and then take different parts from each one and say it's "just like what the bible says"
Christ denial is not a new thing like you say, that is a blatant lie, people have denied jesus' existence since the 18th century.
12:39 That doesn't matter at all, Africanus is wrong, an eclipse can ONLY happen when there is a full moon. In fact, Phlegon's, Thallus', and Africanus' accounts are all useless, they give no evidence for jesus' existence and if anything, prove our point by not mentioning jesus at all.
@fakeham Are their writings at the point of early Christian faith that suggests Jesus did not live. I mean, after all, the Romans(most anyway) and Jews were not Christians. Wouldn't it be very easy to disprove by public record early on? Why doesn't anyone bring this up, when there were so many opponents of the faith? No one was denying it then. Why? All they were doing was offering alternate explanations for some of the events that happened.
That Josephus account is the only account within 100 years of jesus' "life" and is plagiarized beyond a doubt. He was an orthodox jew, you think he's going to say all of that praise and shit for jesus? Also, there is another reference to jesus in his writings and it says he has a brother named james. This video breaks it down: watch?v=N1LOXdBnaIY
Anyone who wrote an account with jesus in it when they were not even alive at the time is not a reliable source.
Jesus of Nazareth is historical fact. Furthermore is impossible for all things in existence, to be in existence by sheer random coincidence. Someone created all things.
@Kazyman I'm Catholic and I designed most of the artwork for St John Bosco's church in Woodley, Berkshire in the UK, plus another piece that toured the diocese churches entitled "Together in Christ". I am also a follower of the teachings of Meister Eckhart. Peace.
@theamazinghispanic at the top of my comment is a link to the Red Dwarf TV series where the transcript is from ... it's just for a laugh. Peace . Paste this into the YT search box. watch?v=Ir1-A209boQ
Nice piece of work.....One of the things i am often asked by people is "does God exist?"
My simple reply to that is "No".
When they ask "but you believe in God, so why do you say that" i reply, "God doesn't exist.... he just IS.... If something exists it can die because it has a beginning and an end. God does not... he just IS."
You also forgot to put in a humerous reference at the end with Homer Simpson saying, "Save me JEBUS!" :-)
I think it's dumb to deny Jesus' existence. He had a family, friends and relatives. If Jesus didn't exist, then neither did any of those other people. I think the reason why people try to dismiss his existence is because if they admit he is real, then that means they have to admit there is a God. I found that most people who argue that Jesus never existed are Atheist.

LeastofmyBrethren 11 months ago

@mixcatcom Passover to me is a phrophecy of the the coming of Christ the sacrificial blood on the door lintel and doorposts in the shape of the cross to free the believers from the angel of death, timing of the death and resurection at the same time as the passover ...amazing
grapes128 11 months ago
@grapes128 the Passover Feast was a foreshadowing of Christ’s atoning work on the cross. Colossians 2:16-17 tells us that we should “let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or Sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ” (NKJV).
egekilde90 11 months ago
@AhmadiyyatTheTruth John 14:16 is the holy spirit that will be sent as the comforter. Not Muhammad.
Habakkuk 3:3 Paran is not near Mecca where Muhammad came from, but is hundreds of miles away. Second, the text is speaking of God coming, not Muhammad who denied being God. Third, the “praise” does not refer to Muhammad (whose name means “the praised one”), since the subject of “praise” and “glory” is God (“His”).
mixcatcom 11 months ago 3

AhmadiyyatTheTruth 8 months ago
This reference to Jesus supposedly written by Josephus is obviously phony. Josephus was not a Christian. As such, he would never refer to Jesus as a speaker of "truth" because the Jews, for the most part, did not believe in Jesus or what he taught. For Josephus to refer to Jesus as a speaker of truth would be to suggest that he, Josephus and other Jews, believed in lies. Furthermore, to give Jesus just one paragraph in such a vast body of work further suggests that it's a fake inclusion.

Jadco1000 4 months ago
@AhmadiyyatTheTruth Deuteronomy 34:10 This text cannot refer to Muhammad since the prophet to come would be like Moses who did “…all the signs and wonders which the LORD sent him to perform in the land of Egypt against Pharaoh, all his servants, and all his land (Deut. 34:11).” Muhammad, even by his own confession, did not perform miracles. (Surah 2:118; 3:183).
mixcatcom 11 months ago 5

And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace
webhutspain 8 months ago

Did he ever become King? Yes:
Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Matthew 28:18

ColumbiaGorgeGuy 1 year ago
Yes, it is likely that a man by the name of Jesus lived. That, however, is all we know. The rest is no more than hearsay. There are no accounts of Jesus from when he lived. None, zero, zip, nada. If he was half the big deal that the Bible claims he was then this alone should be highly suspect. It is likely that Jesus was a normal human being about whom embellished stories have come to be told.
ColumbiaGorgeGuy 1 year ago
@ColumbiaGorgeGuy ; claiming that something is a forgery is one of the easiest ways of making something "look" like it is not true. FOr instance, it is said that the "Protocols of Zion" are said to be a forgery, but the strange thing about that is that they are being proven true more and more every day. It is the same as with the Bible. Even if we agree that Jesus was just a good man, the fact that everything God says about the sinfulness of man is true and prophecies are still being fulfilled.
Evangelander 1 year ago
I see people reasoning that Christ didn't exist, because other people of that time had the same name. This is where worldly logic leads you. This is the same kind of reasoning that is often used, when people are attempting to deny the existence of God. You cant see Him, so He doesn't exist. The same could be said of gravity, but then, people would also be wrong about that, wouldn't they? He exists, because He "Lives" inside me.This can only be understood from a spiritually viewpoint.
Evangelander 1 year ago
@Evangelander Gravity can be proven scientifically. God cannot.
ColumbiaGorgeGuy 1 year ago
@ColumbiaGorgeGuy : I appreciate what you are saying, but I a speaking of an individual, on their own. As they experience gravity, individuals don't know, without science telling them that it is a universal law. When a person is born from above, they do not know what is actually happening and, although it seems that it can not be scientifically proven, it is proven nonetheless, The proof, however, is spiritual. The fact that it can' be proven scientifically, doesn't make it any less real.
Evangelander 1 year ago
@Evangelander The proof is spiritual? May I ask what you mean by "spiritual"? Thank you.
ColumbiaGorgeGuy 1 year ago
@ColumbiaGorgeGuy : what I mean is that the proof is in Scripture, which is written by holy men of God, through the power of the Holy Spirit, therefore, it is spiritual. The Bible states in 1st Corinthians 2:14 "The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned.. One who is not born "of the spirit (from above) cannot and will not be able to understand things that are spiritual.
Evangelander 1 year ago
@txjignpig : You say, "The chief one (prophecy) that he would live a long life and have many children." was not fulfilled. May I please interject, "He lives forever - He's eternal - That's a pretty long life, I'd say. Secondly, He had MANY children, I am one of them. From to a worldly understanding, it may seem that Christ didn't fulfill all the prophecies. However, from a Spiritual perspective, He fulfilled them all. Spiritual things are spiritually discerned, because they are spiritual.
Evangelander 1 year ago
Interestingly, the fact He was accused of using demons to fulfill His miracles is completely assinine. If there are demons, then there are Heavenly angels (are demons not the fallen angels?) If there are Heavenly angels, there is Heaven. It doesn't take the brightest to figure out that there then must also be God. The fruits He bestowed upon everyone was evidence enough of who He was & Is, not to mention that Satan would NEVER give up his life for ANYONE & especially in such an insufferable way.

fakeham all of the historians mentioned in the video are widely accepted as "reliable sources". they're deemed credible by many people who hold far more credibility than you or i. accuracy has never been in question. if jesus was not a religious figure then it is unlikely his existence would have ever been in question.
metalmaker93 1 year ago
if the point of this video is to prove that Jesus Christ actually existed in history by quoting non-Biblical writers, then I would have to say it fails. It would be like if I reported that there were rumors of a monster living in Loch Ness? So what? Reports of this or that don't "prove" that the reports are correct. Christianity is a faith-based religion. Sure, I guess it's nice if you are a believer and can find extra-Biblical evidence that Jesus existed, but it still boils down to faith.
roaringwaterbay 1 year ago
sorry, i have a little bone to pick with this video. The video says Cornelius Tacitus did not attempt to dismiss Jesus Christ as a myth; but just before this Tacitus is quoted as saying that Jesus Christ (or at least belief in Jesus) is/was a "pernicious superstition." there is no difference between calling something a "myth" and calling it a "pernicious superstition." the video maker's logic has a serious break down at this point.
roaringwaterbay 1 year ago

My simple reply to that is "No".
When they ask "but you believe in God, so why do you say that" i reply, "God doesn't exist.... he just IS.... If something exists it can die because it has a beginning and an end. God does not... he just IS."

I think the reason why people try to dismiss his existence is because if they admit he is real, then that means they have to admit there is a God. I found that most people who argue that Jesus never existed are Atheist.
