id did som quick math and and compared fully upgraded Red9 and blacktail. in 4 seconds the red9 can fire 10 bulletd and do 65 damage, in the same time the blacktail shots 15 bullets and damage 67.5 damage.

So Blacktail uses 50% more bullets and damages 3,7% more damage in 4 seconds.

I like your style of limiting your options by playing with only a certain gun. Spices up the gameplay. I'm currently nearing the end of a scout/sniper run, using only the Punisher, and the Springfield. I think my next one will be a CQB run, using only the Riot Gun, and TMP. Basically yes, but there are some parts where you need another weapon, like for shooting down crates, truck drivers or defeating Salazar.

In the village sequence, there are up to 2 Salvadors. Both can be avoided:

The first one guards the exit. As long as you don't "activate" him by shooting him or take actions near him, he won't chase you.

The second one spawns if you enter the house that holds the shotgun. Since I did not enter this one, he never showed up.

And by the way, the pueblo fight can be pretty easily knifed alltogether. There are several videos showing this (some even without taking damage).

1:Got my Head chopped off.

2:Haven`t got the required time to kill both.

Obviously, im talking if you`re playing Prom mode by first time (w/o guns that you had adquired in a previous saved game)

I have to give you credit you actually took out the villagers without taking a peice of damage.and without using the Red9,only the survival knife...you must've been practicing on how the enemies work...every try to stop an airborn axe with the knife? if not it totally works but you gotta do it at the perfect time!

Well, considering I deflected flying scythes with my knife in my current run (TMP/Knife), I guess you could take it as given I know how to counter those bastard axes aswell (though they get lucky sometimes). :D

He does help you on Easy and Normal mode, but ONLY when you free him.

He won't help you on Pro mode either way (that's what Pro mode means).

I just happened to end up with that much ammo after my first run on that savefile.

Handgun ammo is the most common drop, so it's not hard to get loads of it.

It basically gives me more control of my surroundings. It will never alert enemies (atleast not in these spots) and it's slightly faster than having the little scene play. ;D

As for many parts in the game, speed is the key to solve most troublesome situations the easy way. ;D

Watch my chapter 3-2 videos, the way to both objects is always the same. Try to remember the correct path, it's actually pretty easy.

The rescued dog won't help you on pro mode, 100% sure. Else it would not be considered "pro mode" when fighting El Gigante, as it would be way too easy if he pays only attention to the dog.

Besides, it doesn't matter. That fight is so short, you won't need his help if you know what you're doing (which I do -.-).

Yeah, don't fool other people like that. You have to get 5 stars with all SIX characters on Mercenaries, unlock the Handcannon, then do a Handcannon only run of the game in less than 1 hour and 30 minutes without taking damage.

its a great gun and i like its look but id have to say the best non cheat wep in the game is the broken butterfly.its custom upgrade makes its attack 50.0 plus i just love its style its my 2nd fave style of wep next to red9^^

I've left comments on Hix videos before so he knows this, or should anyway. Red9 is very powerful handgun, with firing speed not as good as the others - I think Blacktail and Red9 are the best. BT is 4,0 (or 4.5, can't remember which) but it can kill even ChainSaw Sallies and Jacks fairly quickly when tuned up to exclusive

I do agree what you said earlier about the Red9 being a great handgun, I prefer it amongst all other limited ammo weapons.

I play through the game again just to upgrade the weapon and play through to see if I can do it and see how many first-aids and spinels and the like I have at the end.

This game is kind of over addicting, too.

Sure it is. It has the highest firepower from all the Handguns (6.5). It's only drawback is that you would really like to buy the Stock for it. Makes aiming alot easier. Besides that, it doesn't shoot too fast, but it's ok.

A Blacktail Only Run is in progress, though currently I don't have that much time to play.

No, I haven't played the RE5 demo, since I neither own a PS3 nor a XBox 360.

I don't know how often I've beaten the game so far, I own the GC, PS2 and Wii versions. PS2 and Wii have no free save spot anymore xD
