I had turkish delight once. My mom made it and it was NOTHING like it was supposed to be in that it was like jello and the sugar melted because it wasn't cold enough so basically I was eating jello squares. Very disappointing. I would love to actually be able to try some REAL turkish delight.

I had it once too, in a little candy shop when I was visiting my bro in Montana. I remember it being good, but somehow not overly fantastic - cuz I think I remember thinking, "wait - out of all the things he could've asked the Witch for, THIS is what he came up with?" LOL I dunno, maybe his Dad used to give it to him as a reward for being good or something before he went off to war, so that there's an association there (just in the movie anyway). It's not uncommon with food. *Shrugs* LOL

I think I need to put on the record that the turkish delight is ENCHANTED. The book says that the spell would cause the eater to eat themselves to death if they got the chance, which is a BIG reason why Ed was so eager to betray everyone. But they never mention that in the movie. They just make him look hungry. Haha, poor little guy....
