  • Better ask Keith Richards what Brown Sugar is..

  • Nice record.

  • I love the Stones. Mick Jagger was fuckin' hot when he was young. Their music sounds amazing to this day. Today's music sucks. I'm terrified of them finally losing the title of "classic" and eventually being forgotten. My favorite song is "Let's Spend the Night Together." I thank Black Ops for including them in the playlist. I'm the only one at my school who knows who Keith Richards is. I would kill to go see one of their concerts today. Aw, fuck, out of characters :(

  • @Darkwood5555 There is NO way they will be forgtten..They are the best band ever

  • @crazycatlady68 forgotten..oops

  • @crazycatlady68

I hope so, and I totally agree.

  • This song is awesome, the stones managed to sneak a song about a young black girl being enslaved and raped past everybody by having an awesome tune and kinda slurred lyrics.

  • stop worrying about the meaning of the song,it's the stones SO GET HIGH AND STFU

  • Charlie Sheen thinks he is better than Mick and Keith HE ISH NOT

  • this song is about the stones background singer, nicknamed her brown sugar great tune

  • The song is about heroin.

  • @31GoHabsGo13 How is Bono "high on himself" in any way, dechipher that to me. Has he ever been boasting in anything he has accomplished? It's funny how the accusations against him cannot be supported in any evidence. You have grievance against him on how he has changed the spectrum of rock and roll into a more glorious defiance [including christianity] instead of the "drugs, sex, money" representation. As well as him and U2 changing the sound of rock and roll with their difference symphonies.

  • Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar - Sigmund Freud.

Sometimes a song is just a song; nothing less, nothing more. Great song ! - Me

  • how good is this? remember when it came out...just as fresh today!!

  • How not to be disappointed in the comments. Imagine the words in a foreign language and the music still would rate in the top 10 all time recordings. Lyrics: part of rock is to shock and "the boys" do. Rumors abound as to whether it's a tribute to one of Ike and Tina's group or not, or a sly reference to unrefined drug. Take yer choice, it's timeless lightning in vinyl from an era when lightning was everywhere. Hot hot hot, as Mr. Lips said.

  • Night Hawks in the night club!!!!

  • @derico12345 YES! That tune just makes that scene even ballsier!

  • the only people on this fuckin world who could see heroin like brown sugar!

  • Best quality song so far.

This song is like wine the more aged the better.

  • lol the picture

  • im downloading this.

  • @Egirl01 you want any special award or your ok with a simple CONGRATS

  • brown sugar = black booty

  • i guess 10 people aint got their hands on some sweet brown sugar!

    Stones Fan For Life! xD

  • who thought raping black slave girls could produce such a masterpiece

  • @dannycefc thats one version of this song, but the one I know is Mick met Minnie Riperton of Rotary Connection had a fling with her and wrote this song in her name

  • I heard this song was aboot a chick who was one of the Ikettes for Ike and Tina...is there any truth to this.

  • @bria129312 No, brown sugar is a reference to Heroin.

  • @fredrictatonmaster Or black girls. Which jagger seems in to... fuck sake man....

  • @fredrictatonmaster In an interview he said the song has a double meaning, it could either be about heroin or black chicks. Either way, I lol at people who think its about brown sugar.

  • @fredrictatonmaster

    It's about black girls...

  • I never know which brown sugar to use in my homemade chocolate cookies.

  • Funny year 1971, had Clive Dunn's "Grandad" and Middle of the Road's hideous "Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep" as big UK number ones, but produced a whole range of classic singles, including three seminal rockers, this one, the Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again" and the Faces' "Stay With Me". Brilliant ones all, but this just edges the other two in my view, Incidentally, the original title was going to be "Black Pussy", but fearing a ban, the Stones changed it. So now you know.

  • Brown Sugar

Why does it sound so good?

    Brown Sugar

Just like a Stones song should

  • @farseer611 you smoked pot when you came up with that didnt you?

  • classic! the stones have done so much for me!

  • when's he gonna whip the women again?

  • c'est pas ce sucre la dont il est question LOL mais de l'héroïne LA MARRON la seul qui vous donne le flash

  • IS THE LADY OF THE HOUSE

    TOTALLY AT LIST TODAY

    AMSTERDAM

  • LADY DIANA.....

    BAMB BAMB

    ROCK AND ROLL BABY...IRSIHCOWGIRLDAYZZZZZZZZZZZZ

  • what i like about the stones is how they have that sex feeling in their songs

  • @kurtcobain628 doesn't most rock n roll have that sex feeling in it? lol... isn't that why we like it so much, the term "rock n' roll" came from a back seat son.

  • 9 people missed the like button

  • new improved pack :)

  • Is it true this song was supposed to be called 'Black Pussy'? ;)

  • Seriously, sticky fingers is the best album without brian jones and this song is definetly the best but i stay on the same way that the rolling stones was better with jones

  • @LeHeron95 yup Brian was a severley underrated musician...im listening to Let It Bleed a lot at the mo, i thought he was a zonked out mess by this time but his slide playing on that album is absolutely incredible

  • @neilus You're right man and just look in every album with Jones he was an incredible guitarist, the Stones would never be what they were without him.

Sorry I'm a canadian and I speak french normaly so i'm not the ebst english talker

  • @LeHeron95

well, he was agreat slide player, because that's the only guitar palying you have on most albums pre 65, he was a fucking lazy person, was always late for sessions, so keith did most of the studio guitar.

but yeah, he was a great player when he finally took up a fucking guitar.

  • the stones are the best and this song proves it what other band could make slavery seem so sexy

  • Sexy, hot, teenaged girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ROTFL it's the real bag of brown sugar :D

  • I just had a saxorgasm

  • Brown sugar means Heroine...

  • @Doommachine96 thats what i thought lol

  • @Doommachine96 actually, its about black chicks looool everyone can read the lyrics and see its about black chicks coming into america...did you miss the 'just like a black girl should' part?

  • great song xD i think we need only brown sugar and the world will be better ;)

  • one of rolling stones many masterpieces

  • Yeah, I am off to watch some porn with black chicks...

  • love the stones :)

  • does it seem to you that the opening riff to this song sounds a lot like the main riff to "Hot Blooded"

  • @lldeland

    LOL.....just LOL fookin LOL!

  • I don't understand how people can't like this! Let's roll!

  • THAT SAX IS ORGASMIC

  • Awesome video lol.

  • great stuff, good ole days writing songs about screwing black chicks and smoking smack, what do we have now? bono and that tedious twat from coldplay telling us about all the wrongs and injustices in the world...fuck off! i know all that stuff, i read newspapers and watch the news,i want my RnR to be fun and not be lectured to!

  • @neilus i like the way you think. like someone should think.. sex drugs and rock and roll all the way!

  • @SquareHeads09 amen!

  • @neilus

    I love your lewdness!

  • @neilus well, i think bono and the tedious twat are good..... but damn this is way better

  • @neilus And you won't ever get a lecture from Mick and Keith! I love this fucking song. The lyrics are open to interpretation but apparantly it's a about a slave owner and a woman slave and sex and maybe heroin too but they won't admit it. Mick wrote this by himself in the outback of Australia in 1969 while filming Ned Kelly and they first played it at Altamonnt! Just in case any one cares.

  • @neilus I think thats my favorite comment ever.

  • @neilus if u ever watch family guy there was an episode where peter was in coldplay but he got kicked out because he said "hey guys, how about we write a song thts not about winey bullshit!" look it up i couldnt stop laughing. anyway whenever someone bags on coldplay no matter wht they say i think of tht scene and i just start laughing

  • @neilus yea your wright. But where does it leave it us today. a generation of wjhite young under 20 hot women that thinking bedding a rap star is cool or anything that pretends to be or know one.. They said Vietnam was a generation lost i ask people open yout eayes look around we goet a generation of americas apple pie girl next door selling their soul and body to fell good for a life with bl. eyes and Alabama beatings!

  • @neilus shit eh?

  • @neilus Do you believe, somehow, that by completely disregarding the "wrongs and injustices in the world" that they will be solved? I'm sorry but ignorance is what has gotten us into this deep pit of "wrongs and injustices"; and the SIMPLE thinking by people who are ignorant of it... is only going to dig us ALL deeper into that pit.

  • @neilus hahahah you nailed it.

  • @neilus well put mate you start the fire ill fetch da wood

  • @neilus well put mate you start the fire ill fetch da wood .

  • @neilus Too fucking RIGHT! So sick of these jerkoff bands being so serious and caring. The point of great R+R is to NOT care. The Beatles notwithstanding. They get a pass. Evryone else, either put up or shut up! Especially Coldplay!

  • @neilus LOL is that why Bono is saving 1,000 kids a day with the organization he funded to help Black Youth for AIDS in Africa? Yeah, didn't think your Mick Jagger can do something like that, you synical prick.

  • @freedumnevafree if you hate Mick Jagger y r u listening to the Rolling Stones, hmmmmm?

  • @suggie122 i don't hate mick jagger, hes good at music as well as the rest of the stones, i like their music allot. I just don't think mick jagger has done as much to help the world as much as bono from u2 has

  • How can they be so fucking good? I love this song.

  • fucking a black chick

  • @anthonydom1 It's ba-lack. Trust me, I'm a child of the street

  • @anthonydom1 don't be crude, it was written about Mick's lover, Claudia.

  • Brown sugar, wasnt that about heroin?

  • @Iknowbetterthanthat no it wasnt

  • ahhh the rolling stones still stirring people up since the 60s ;)

  • かっこいい!最高!

  • think i can safely say that this is the BEST song about slave-rape ever made

  • @jazwaz112 You can't rape the willing.

  • @NateNizz you know what an oxymoron is right? a willing-slave..

  • @DiverseProduction My knowledge of an 'oxymoron' has nothing to do with it. Sex spans the social spectrum no matter what the relative viewpoint of the individual.

  • @NateNizz Ok well I can see you are making an effort to sound intelligent so I won't condescend you by explaining what I meant. ^^

  • @DiverseProduction I sound intelligent because I am. Yes, the term 'willing slave' is an oxymoron in the literal sense, however, it seems absurd to say there were no black women during the days of slavery who enjoyed having sex with their masters. This song seems to allude more towards the sexual revolution of the 1960s and the growing acceptance of interracial relationships rather than 'slave-rape' as previously mentioned.

  • @NateNizz i'm sure there were plenty of women who enjoyed having sex with their "masters", but it really wouldn't have matter how she felt about it anyway, since the "fuck me or ELSE" coercion was always a tool at his disposal. i think calling a slave "willing" is pretty perverse, given the psychological damage involved where one person is regarded as subhuman by the other and is forced to accept a subservient identity in order to survive.

  • @jazwaz112 Hey, you're the one that brought up 'slave-rape' in a sarcastic, comical tone. I didn't mean that every female slave was willing, only that some were willing to have sex. I thought people would be keen enough to know this, but I guess not. But yeah, this is good song nonetheless; a true classic from the Stones.

  • @jazwaz112

There are two things here. First, a slave in never 'willing' because in this day and age where slavery is no more, someone who is willing to do whatever is not a slave. If you're forced to do shit you wouldn't do otherwise, that is slavery.

Secondly, these 'slaves' ARE willing (to have sex) it's a roleplay. Some people get turned on by acting submissive. That's why it purely a sexual thing I think. If I had a slave I would let her do my landry and clean my house :-)

  • @JumpingTomato The slaves in this song are the ones who were marched across Africa for 300 miles with no food on barefoot then packed onto a rottern old ship and transported to various parts of the then colonial world! America got huge amounts of slaves thanks to the Brits building up the colonies there.

  • @DiverseProduction

I know that, I'm suppose to be Dutch. We haven't been sweet Angels neither concerning slavery.

  • @JumpingTomato Lol ok ok it seemed like you thought the slaves in the song were dressed in pvc and handcuffs cause you started going on about submissive sex slaves!

  • @NateNizz for the record, i DO genuinely love this song. only RS could take a subject like this and do it so cheeky and brilliant.

  • timeless :-)

  • nice pic :)

  • Well they were massive smack heads so you can imagine that "Brown" *wink wink* Sugar maybe a reference but if you check the lyrics they are totally to do with naughty slave girls.

  • It's about heroin and "brown" women, as mentioned in other text i assume that either mick or keef had a taste for black chicks

  • Who is "keef"??? :-))))

  • kieth richards

  • @ceesbood

    Who is Kieth??? :-)))

Maybe you would finally write correctly?

  • fuck yea

  • Ha, good one.

Uh, I don't think it's about heroin... I think the lyrics are pretty self-explanatory here :)

  • I AM THE BLACK SUGAR HE HAVE NOT MET YET...SO!??? ACCORDING TO ?...."ONCE YOU GOT BLACK YOU NEVER GO BACK"...My Mom was very white and my father very dark...Lovely couple

  • well the thing is he wanted to name it 'black pussy'

sooo....hmm doesnt that mean something else than heroin?

and haha honestly theres no point in arguing about it .. its a classic. no matter if its about his black girl fetish or rape.

  • its not about heroin. its about eating out african american women. and good ol' sex with 'em too i suppose. maybe a little heroin, who knows. i don't smoke the same cigarettes as mick jagger, so its hard to relate.

  • by looking at the lyrics, it seems its more about raping black women slaves.

still a good song, as long as you don't pay too close attention to the lyrics

  • how the hell is that secret reference to heroin :D hahah its fucking obvoius its bout heroine :D

  • the song is about heroin.

  • @urgnomen it also has connotations about sex with brown women.

    'brown sugar' being the metaphor

  • i have just decided that this is my favorite song of all time

  • I agree, It would be up there with the top ten of greatest tunes. Didn realise that uploading a song I enjoy would cause such debate tho (see previous comments!)

  • @qerrtre

it's been mine since i 1st heard it & had to listen for 3 hours untill i turned the single over. i was frying, too! it still just gets better each time i hear it.

  • @qerrtre keep that feeling!

  • @qerrtre thats right,everything of genius is simple! :) long live r'n'r

  • Its about raping slaves, listen to the first verse - "Scarred old slaver knows he's doing all right, hear him with the women just around midnight..."

  • cracked sent me. yeah, it's about slave raping. x.X

  • lol i love cracked. but i knew this song was about rape long before. i also knew that other song, "baby its cold outside", was about rape before they told me.

  • And there's me been singing "here him whip the women just around midnight" all these years.

Damn. Mind you I det most lyrics wrong.

  • It has a secret reference to Heroin, the Brown Sugar!

  • @NuclearMen94 lol it clearly wasnt..even a deaf man would know it wasnt about heroin

  • i heard that this song was about a black women mick had a thing wit in new orleans, i heard it on a radio station once

  • @SolidFBI mick use to see one of tina turners back up dancers (i think)

  • Haha, love the picture! ;)

  • They meant hash

  • the drums are amazing in this song, pretty subntle though. tyhe only thing better is what the song is about haha. i myself m into latinas and filipinas and carmel black girlsANYWAY i gotta favor to ask you guys can you check my vid

  • what does it have to do with my comment

  • they meant a kind of weed :P

  • tea i made a drum video and its got this song on here, its a countdown vid of rock songs that have DRUMS DRUMS DRUM thnks peace ill look forard to your feedback thank

  • brown sugar is a term for slave rape but the lyrics are just about gettin with a black girl soo ya not weed buddy

  • @lordflamer6969 actually, brown sugar is a term used for black females PERIOD even beyonce wore a top on a magazine cover saying 'brown sugar' but it can be slave rape depending on the context you put it in

  • apparently mexican brown heroin tastes just like brown sugar, according to a very reliable source-i live in scotland(worst heroin problem in europe), and my mate is mastering in chemistry- so its either a huge coincidence or thats somehow got to part of the reason.

  • My uncle sang this at karaoke one night, now every time I hear it I think of him lol. Great song, thank you for posting. All the best.

  • go lilli xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • dont club a sandwich club a seal lol

  • fucking rite it is the bomb

  • The song is about sex with black girls AND Heroin. Jagger himself said "The lyric was all to do with the dual combination of drugs and girls. This song was a very instant thing, a definite high point."

  • It's not, although many people think so or the stones themselves might even ride along that wave. The lyrics are about the slave market in new orleans at the time, selling young black sugar. (excuse me). The south doesn't have to rise again, it never died.. shamefully.

  • gREAT SONG!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!!!!!!

  • gutes Video, geiler Song

  • My faveriote Stones song.

  • LOL@ actual pictures of brown sugar.

  • This song is about slavery, a young slave girl, an English master, and hanky-panky in the slave shacks at midnight.

  • LOL right on

  • BEST BAND EVEEEEEEEEER .

  • fuck the fuck

  • I don't know why, but that comment is unbleiveabley funny in its extreme stupidity, i literally loled when i saw it.

  • Do English people ever get bored by that stupid royal seal on all their food?

  • why would it ever bore us? its not like we've gotta sit and listen to it go on about how good it is. unlike the americans however

  • Having royalty rubbed in my face all the time would be akin to eating a shit sandwich.

  • we don't even notice it

we just eat the effing food

  • pretty tricky picture. would have never guessed that

  • arent they singing black sugar?

  • hahaha look at those comments down - as hot as in the 60's - Rolling Stones still doin their job :)

    SCANDALOUS

  • Funny how the parents of teenaged girls felt threatened by the look of the Beatles...that is until the Rolling Stones showed up. Then the Beatles looked like choir boys...

    Love that guitar opening...

  • Choir Boys who wrote better music.

  • I'm pretty sure choir boys generally don't write music. Unless you're referring to a band. But I can pretty much guarantee that any band called Choir Boys wouldn't be half as great as the Rolling Stones.

  • You are a fucking ignorant moron.

  • ..who fucked your mother for 6 hours non-stop.

  • E mrekullueshme...!....

  • MONIKO! tys nám dala do fav Brown Sugar? a nosíš ten odznáček?

  • Amen

  • this song = about heroin.

    end of discussion.

  • serious dog? like i just dont hear it but i completley believe you if theres somthin i just dont understand

  • not really...
