I'm talking about the expansion of the sun. When that happens, the Earth will be destroyed. But humans will be gone before then because our magnetic field will have failed.
But if a meteor comes toward us, we can predict if it's large enough to destroy the Earth, and WHEN it will destroy the Earth.

What would happen is we would be alerted to the danger of this asteroid hitting Earth, and told about the possibility of what it could do, and we would be told soon enough so that we could get to a safe place. We would be warned of what it could do, just like we're warned what hurricanes and tornados can do.

@naidh137 the aligning of the earth to the sun and the sun to the centre of our galaxy, which is know to contain a black hole, would cause a shift in the poles of the earth....its physics....a shift in poles of the earth would have a domino affect on the earth, its plates and its atmosphere....its physics....causing natural disasters. The shift in poles will happen, just depends on how much they shift and what effect it would have on the earth. it may be that its very minimal and nothing changes

Well if the end of the world depends on other beings you can rest assured that you will be alright if you are truely good deep inside. All these things kind of say that something decides. And the only other things I know of out of earth do have "souls" but they don't know the meaning of the word. They feel bad for killing things and have the ability to morally spare people.
