as ur chute inflates with air the slider is forced to slide down the linese. it prevents a extremely quick and very painful opening.

dude the slider works to rudece shock from the opening so if u take it off and take more than 4 seconds of flight u can really hurt the guy so i reccomend slider on for big jumps

@hexatron2006 it slows down the opening (dont take them of when skydiving or else it will break your back) you usualy take them of when pulling with a short delay after exit
