I love your videos I'm 14 and I go to a vocational school and I am taking welding for my 4 years and I love it. These tips are really great! Keep making your videos!
@VisorBlue It depends! they can last a long time or a short time depending on how well you use it.
Often, people try gouging metal with a plasma cutter and end up getting metal into the tip. Or they run too much air or not enough air. There are lots of things that folks do to kill their consumables.
Great to see you guys back together, in front of, and running the camera! Great topic, too. I used (abused) my little Longevity 40 amp to cut a railroad spike in half once just to see if I could. Yeah. Looked like a rottweiler chewed it in half. Man, now that was one ugly tip when I got done... Thanks, Kevin and you too, Voice...
lol, cuts look exactly the same

Hi Kev,
How do you know when you are using too much air pressure?
haxby2008 3 months ago
@haxby2008 The cut gets ragged and you get a lot of slag everywhere.

Interesting. How long do those parts last? Expensive to replace?
VisorBlue 10 months ago
@VisorBlue The last about20 hours of cutting at the highest amp setting.

what brand is that anvil behind you in the beginning?
steveo928 10 months ago
@steveo928 That is a Pine Hill anvil. We had a blacksmith school that closed and sold off all their tools. Found this in the back room.
