Failing Zune 30GB New Years Eve Update 1

wow....there's so many zune fails. mine failed recently...and i sent it in for repairs or replacements...but well...i don't see the ipod owners doing that. makes me wonder if zune is all that good a product =/

We had two Zunes.... The first one failed Right after new years.. of 06 or 07 the first year they came out.... Lasted two weeks.. POS froze.. My second Zune stoped responding i nthe ON mode 2 months later.. Fucking RIP OFF

Microsoft actually release the directions in terms of fixing this problem. If I remember correctly, Microsoft said drain the battery completely and recharge it after yesterday 12pm eastern time. It should automatically be corrected. I hope this helps

yeah just the fact of knowing that all the 30GB up-to-date Zunes are failing is pretty harsh... I found out that if you DO remove the battery and replace it, You who basically be killing it.

What you should do is just keep plugged into your computer if you want the update to stay in progress, or you could discharge it by keeping it unplugged.
