Aha! That's what I was waiting for: around 7:30, she's putting something over the white face paint so it won't smudge or rub off :D I wonder what it is.
Basically, it's just a cosmetic white paint designed for the face. I believe kabuki actors also use these cosmetic and make-up items as well. In earlier times though a lead-based paint would be used, but this eventually was discarded because of the terrible effects lead had on the skin. I've also heard that rice-base products are in use now too which are much safer and healthier for the skin :D It's just basic knowledge that I have, but if you'd like more indepth info, Google is pretty good~
