When lighting those two torches @ 3:40, you could have used a deku stick instead in order to transfer the fire from one torch to the other.

You can only use Deku Sticks in the past. As an adult, the only options available to me are Din's Fire and Fire Arrows.

I´m now in the second floor and there was a point in which i didn´t know what to do, so I started watching this walkthrough and I noticed,I skipped one of the small keys from the first floor, so... My question is; How can I make the water level from the second to the first floor lower?

The time limit is your breath remaining. Link cannot breathe underwater unless he is wearing the Zora Tunic (blue). You can get it from King Zora or the Zora Shop, both of which are in Zora's Domain beneath Red Ice (which can be melted with Blue Fire found in the nearby Ice Cavern or bought from the Potion Shop in the Market/Kakariko).

@TheZeldaDungeon as child link, if you moon jumped in the the kakariko village well (as in under the map into its doorway then walked out) when it was full of water on the japanese version, you can stay underwater forever if you position yourself right to get stuck. after 40 seconds or so a 2 min timer will appear and it will keep reseting. link must have gills.

Great videos Caleb, its not often that you find walkthroughs that feature commentary as well which is always something I enjoy. Also, i've noticed that in the emulators and on n64 in seems like link is speed walking, but in the 3ds version he actually runs.

Hey there, I forgot to go into the tunnel after the 1st water level change, and after I saved and everything I turned off the game and when I turned it back on later on in the game the water level came back into the main room and I can no longer go back to where the 1st water level is :( and I also can't blow up the crack that's in the floor in the tunnel against the left side. Is there a way I can start the game over or a switch that can lower the water level on the main room?

A common misconception with the Water Temple is that you can "screw it up" and "break your game," which is impossible. Just follow the walkthrough and get the keys you can and ignore the ones you can't for now. Follow along with me and change the water levels until you get it to where you need to go so you can collect the keys you missed earlier.

You start out with the Spin Attack. Hold in B to charge it up and release it to spin. Alternatively, you can rotate the Analog Stick once and press B to use a Quick Spin, which does the same thing, but doesn't use any magic.

In Death Mountain Crater, there's a cave that's blocked off by red boulders. Once you get the Megaton Hammer, you can use it to enter the cave, which is one of the Fairy Fountains. Play Zelda's Lullaby to have the Great Fairy of Wisdom give you the Magic Meter Enhancement.

It's a YouTube glitch that happens occasionally. If it does this, all you have to do is change the quality settings (480p, etc) and change it back again, then just click to the point in the video where it stopped and it should work normally.

Because that confuses people. I've done stuff like that before and it always makes people post comments like "Why does the music jump at #:##?????!!!" Fast-forwarding it is easier to do and more self explanatory. Also, it is really happening within the game and it literally is how the game has to be played, so it makes sense when people watch it this way.

There is a cave on the west side of Death Mountain Crater with red boulders blocking it. Once you have the Megaton Hammer from the Fire Temple, smash the boulders and enter the Great Fairy Fountain. Play Zelda's Lullaby to make her appear and she will enhance the Magic Meter.

Based on the official manga, I'm pretty sure that Sheik IS male; it's supposed to be a magic disguise, not a costume.  One of the reasons I feel this is worth mentioning is because I think it bothers a lot of people to think that Zelda lived in a male body for seven years. I think that discomfort is worth questioning.

And thanks for FFing the boot changes; I was so relieved when Nintendo improved that item in later games (not sure how many; I'm thinking of Twilight Princess).

Not sure if you're referring to me in particular or not... For recording purposes, using an emulator was a much more user friendly option and allowed me to get higher quality and a wider variety of videos. I have all the save states saved on my computer for each section of the game, so I can load up any portion of my walkthrough to test things down the road as well. I can't do that with a console, nor get as good of a resolution, as well as no interlacing. YES!
