That poor puppy looks hurt because I think her owner is not giving her love and comfort. If that pup was mine I would take good care of her, and I would say that this pup is the cutesy puppy ever!! :(

close all the puppy mills and there will be less dogs to be euthanazied! Don't buy dogs from any animal store or puppy mill coz of this kind of practice there are many abondandoned dogs. Many dogs also have health problem due to irresponsible poo breeding programs. It's very sad to see how these dogs suffered! These people who let this happen should be punished and never be allowed to have a pet!

We adopted Beau last week from a puppy mill rescue. He is 3 years old and was scared to death of the ground, and grass, and humans. I laid down in the yard until he relaxed and laid down beside me. Now he has a happy smile, happy life, constantly wagging tail and a personality that only wants to please.
We will never be able to save every abused animal until every abuser has to face equally abusive penalties.

I adopted a show dog from breeder who had 13 dogs in her one room. They were all champion show dogs. This one I took was almost 20 lbs. and was supposed to be 5 lbs. I spent hundreds of dollars maybe more trying to get him better. He was ill since the day I got him the breeder said he was in excellent health. The dog did his part. Now they don:t want them.

Once you have a Maltese for almost a year in a half you can tell its a family dog,i have one thats already 9 months and you know what,he's very happy to be a family pup.
How anyone could neglet a dog- let alone a maltese is crazy. I received my baby when his former owner just didn't want him anymore. I don't understand how people can spend so much money on a dog and then neglect and abuse it. These precious babies are lucky to have found homes. The video was hard to watch, but a good reminder that we need to help others.

i saw in the paper a breeder wanted to give her maltese dog away. He was 20 lbs. overweight and had a quarter in his stomach.hid He was the champion of Pa. and Maryland best of show etc. He had trophies and awards but no use to the breeders if they are older She had 13 dogs maltese she breed. I got Robbi down to 5 lbs. The only problem he has is arthritis but Dr.Franks Pain spray in his water dish helps alot. He is the most adorable little munchkin. thank goodness I rescued him.
i went to the shelter in my area and there were so many cute dogs and way in the back was this scruffy dog all and eyes almost shut full of fleas. He could hardly stand and I asked for that one and they tried to talk me out of it. I bought him and found him to be a maltese under all that mess. He ended up being the sweetest dog and just passed away recently. My little codyboy was worth the thousands of dollars for vet bills. I would do it again.

Absolutely heart wrenching-and beautiful. We just adopted a nine year old rescue and hope that in a few weeks she will have no more accidents, and look just as beautiful and healthy as these pups. We know she'll be just as loved!
@zahny I think a kill shelter is a shelter that put the dogs to still at a certain length of time that they're there due to room. It's ok Maltese Rescue calling them that, but they are not full to the brim with dogs no one wants to home.... It's horrible that these so called 'kill shelters' do that, but if people didn't get rid of dogs like used tissues, they wouldn't have to put them to sleep. x

The day he died December Dec.1 /2003 I died with him. I will never be able to afford the
love companionship and warmth a Maltese can give you.
