I remember this airing on TV in RI. it was Dec. 93 and was recorded at Lincoln Greyhound Park in Lincoln,RI for a 94HJY charity event. @thehuntz1 Well I suggest ya to listen the old DT albuns before going to the newest... DT has change a lot since 90's (And for my Opinion and for the old fans Opinion it got worst every album they make).

DT was quite unique back in 90's and made his masterpiece in 2000 (With Metropolis, the album you heard HOME)... after that DT started to make generic songs and the musicians lost some part of the love to compose their songs.

I don't have time to spare with that." And Petrucci agreed...

So the MUSIC is now in second plane for them... Marketing is in top.

I'm pretty sure this was in December '94, judging from Petrucci's facial hair (he was pretty much clean shaven during the Images and Words tour). If only James knew his visit to Cuba within the next few days or so was going to affect his next decade or so of singing...it just makes me sad that although he's still a great singer now and I have the utmost respect for him sticking it through doing what he loves, he's just not the same anymore. That being said, this was an amazing performance.

This particular version exemplifies why LaBrie, before his vocal chord rupture was so great. Simultaneously possessing a soft, warm voice along with a powerful upper register, this is why he was asked to replace Dickinson. Long live DT and for all LaBrie haters, imagine what he would sing like today if he had not ruptured his vocal chords. His is still awesome, perhaps better now than in the last 10 years. But, this is simply magical.
