Yes, I think this would be very disorienting experience on top of everything your family is going through right now. I hope the doctors are excellent and they will have a good plan, so things can get better.
Oh man, I am sorry that had to happen, I would have panicked if I experienced something like that. There may be times where I don't agree with my parents, but I would feel restless if I sensed for even a moment they were just moments away from fatal danger. I encourage you to give God glory for keeping your mom safe from any further danger than what she had been in originally up to the point you found her.
