  • Nice! Could you show me the how to access the battery under the floor, behind the front passenger seat? As well as how the rear wiper/washer switch works? Do you push it or slide it?

    Thanks.

  • The rear wiper switches changed in the 2007/2008 MY transition. If your Outlook is a 2007 you will find the controls for the rear wiper on the left side steering column stock (the same stock that controls your turn signals) If you slide it once it will fall into a grove and be intermittent, if you slide it and hold it, washer fluid and a fast sweep will occur.

  • If it is a 2008, the switches can be found in the lower center of the dash. Depending on how many options your Outlook has, this is the panel that houses toggles for traction control, tow haul mode, rear power lift gate etc. This time there are two switches. One for intermittent rear wiper, one for washer fluid to the rear wiper.

    Hope this helps.

  • Battery under the floor First move the front passenger seat forward then pull away the second row floor mats. The cover is clearly visible on the floor just behind the front passengers seat. The channels in which the second row seats slide back and forth in are trimmed with some hard plastic cosmetic moldings/covers. Pop the smart slid floor guide covers off. Get your T-20 torque bit/driver, loosen the single torque screw and remove cover voila. You have full access to the battery.

  • It is also important to note that your Outlook has a remote jump posts under the hood should you ever need a boost. This is clearly marked by a red plastic cover with a + symbol. Remove the cover to access the post.

  • Okay! Thank You! One more question with remote start, I've never had a car with remote start, once you start it with the remote, can you also turn it off with the remote? Then start it with the key for driving?

  • Yes you can. Hold down the lock button and the vehicle will shut off.

Thanks for all the great questions.
