  • ive all ways loved this song but....whats it about?

  • Favorite song, favorite band, Seether is my third. Yes I actually rate this album so highly ahead of Seether's other work that it I'm willing to think of them as separate.

  • How can the "Seether version" be better when they're the SAME BAND??

  • @sAWfr3ak They're still played differently.

  • So this band had a chick singer before Shaun interesting.

  • shaun > Kurt.. PERIOD.

  • I love you all who fight so hard for seether like elsahlino or shreddinmetal4life. It's a family up here with the retarded children running around telling us grow ups how Seether is Nirvana :,D how cute.

  • hi

  • saron gas = seether....

  • @RuanGsxrK7 no shit sherlock

  • saron gas = seether....

  • thats the first thing i though when i heard this, is it has a nirvana-esk quality

  • proudly to be south african. btw nirvana and seether are to different bands seether is more of hard rock and nirvarna is grunge. well i should say that nirvana was a new era in grunge

  • @gwehabana actually seether is post grunge/ rock and nirvana was punk rock/grunge. but yeah your right with the new era sorta. nirvana is what put grunge on mainstream which caused its distruction.

  • @hackersrage even thou nirvana madfe it famous and are awsome i kinda dont like them for one reason coz of making grunge into a famous thing. it was better when it was underground

  • @gwehabana agreed. everything is pure before its mainstream. then its corupted. thats the price of fame.

  • @gwehabana thats why their demos are so insanely great because the media never gave a fuck about those. for some reason i only like famous grunge bands non famous songs

  • South Africa representing :)

  • @f1veclaw fuck you!!! :)

  • Thanks for up loading this . I'd love to buy this album but its like $35.00,. at amazon maybe cheaper other pleases but eh, Any ways thanks again for uploading...

  • pitty saron gas changed to seether. even if it sounds like nirvana. dig this track !!!!

  • Saron Gas is like Sarin Gas the deadly corrosive toxin (O-isopropyl methylphosphonofluoridate) aka...awesome name.

  • they changed thier name to Seether due to thier previous name Saron Gas which is an executing gas that was almost going to be used in World War II by the German Army Weapons Office. thats why

  • I prefer this one

  • The quality isn't very good. You can hardly hear the guitars in the chorus.

  • Oh my god. The sound quality is AMAZING.

    So clear...

Do you know how you managed the volume without making it all shrill and crappy?

  • I <3 seether/saron gas(:

  • Simple Is Cool man

  • im getting fucked of with pepole compering nivarna to seether nivarna is a amazing band but get this seether is nothing like nivarna so jsut stfu nivarna are grunge seether is like a metal grunge so stfu comapreing tbh you pepole who compare nivarna to seether/sarongas no not a single thing about music let me know if im wrong but i belive im right

  • i miss south africa so much.shame i had to leave the country to make a life for myself.

  • Shaun Morgan is AWSOME!

  • This version has more of an edge to it.

  • epic

best song ever. my favourite since i know seether/saron gas.

  • To be honest, I think I like this version better than the one on Disclaimer II

  • same here

  • So get over yourselves and just enjoy the music. Be greatful that there is such a thing as rock and roll andappreciate each band for the talent and uniqness they all posses!

  • @Davidslove100

People compare Cobain and Lennon in terms of songwriting and their idol like status/shocking death. At least people on youtube do from what I've seen.

  • Good point! That is true, but there is some substance behind those claims. No one has ever said Cobain is the next Lennon,(at least from what I have heard) Nor should they. All I was saying is that every artist is uniqe and that everyone should get over their bias feelings and just enjoy the music.... Don't you agree??

  • Look, Seether is seether and Nirvana was Nirvana. Sure shaun morgan has said that he idolized cobain, but cobain idolized lennon....and I don't see anyone comparing cobain to lennon. Every band has to have another band to look up to, to inspire them, and there is no shame in that. And if you all want to get really techincal, EVERY rock band out there is "coping" chuck berry and the other pioneers.

  • who is saron gas i cant understand

  • Saron Gas was Seether's old name. They changed their name to Seether in 2001 when they came to the United States. Record executives at Wind Up felt it was too similar to Sarin gas, which is deadly and toxic, and it could potentially remind Americans of 9/11.

There is only one full album under Saron Gas which is "Fragile". There are, however, other demos they recorded but they are not in circulation.

  • k thnx man u are a rly good explainer :)

  • @disclaimer05 has anyone ever thought about that? i mean no ones going to read that much into a band name...

  • @4491430 Shaun mentioned the name change in a few interviews. The executives just wanted to curtail any future problems. I don't think many people would look into the name, but theres always that small group of people that will find it offensive and try to file a lawsuit.

  • @disclaimer05 thats true...i exept defeat

  • @4491430 i do that all the time..try to figure out why bands are named what they are

  • @disclaimer05 makes sense wouldn't bother me and I'm american in fact i thought it was kind of cool but Seether is neat

  • @DarkestofTimes I am an American too. It doesn't bother me, but people like to cause drama. I prefer Seether over Saron Gas any way.

  • @disclaimer05 yeah...lol...wow...are you always online? lol

  • @DarkestofTimes I'm in college, I spend lots of time on the computer. Right now I'm doing "research." =P

  • the vid not working?

  • it seems to be working fine. at least for me it does.

  • can't you all just appreciate music?

  • wow, people here have problems xD well, you gotta admit that shaun is similar to kurt cobain

  • This Seether/Nirvana comparison is CRAP. Look, don't get me wrong, Nirvana is a very good band....but they are WAY overrated. Seether is a much more consistent band. I personally like everything Seether has ever written. They even make some TERRIBLE songs like "Rehab" by Amy Winehouse and "Careless Whisper" by Wham sound really good. The only bad thing about Seether is the wait time they put us fans through in between new material.

  • @shreddinmetal4life Seether is a good and popular band. Nirvana and Kurt Cobain are legends of rock/grunge music. Though I don't see what Nirvana has to do with Seether.

  • @DarkestofTimes Someone brought up that Shaun Morgan sounds like Cobain, which is bullshit. And Nirvana wouldn't be NEAR as much of "legends" if Kurt hadn't killed himself....and anyone who can't realize the truth in that is honestly kidding themselves.

  • @shreddinmetal4life I liked there early albums but lately not so much and who cares if nirvana are overrated it doesn't change the fact that they were awesome

  • @RKOFAN24 I haven't bought Seethers new album yet, but i'm getting bad vibes from what i've heard....idk, the same thing happened with FBINS and I fucking loved that album, so idk. And I never questioned whether or not Nirvana was awesome, so idk where that comment came from. Plus, I never said anyone cared that Nirvana was overrated.

  • @shreddinmetal4life Dude, they're selling out. Fake it was poppy crap. And Seether wouldnt be here if werent for Nirvana, they influenced everything, because they are one of the most influntial bands of all time. And just because YOU like everything seether has produced doesnt mean they're better than Nirvana. I happen to like everything Nirvana ever put out, just because I think that doesnt mean they're better.

  • @YumYumYoMum If anything was "poppy crap" then it's something off their new album. And I don't believe that bullshit "this band wouldn't exist if it weren't for this other band", If it wouldn't have been Nirvana then it would have been some other band. Or maybe not. Who the fuck are we to say that ANY band was FOR SURE influenced by another? Maybe Seether thinks Nirvana sucks a big bag of dicks. Maybe they would have existed anyway. Who gives a shit? They're bands and they write music...

  • @shreddinmetal4life Dude, they sound similar to Nirvana, so i doubt Shaun would say Nirvana sucks a big bag of dicks. They're almost certainly influenced, and I think i recall an interview where he said they were, so calm the fuck down mate.

  • @YumYumYoMum With all due respect, it's REALLY easy to just say "I think I recall an interview where he said they were". And I guess this is just going to have to end with a "agree to disgree", because I do NOT think Seether sounds like Nirvana.....I just don't. Also, I don't reeeeally think the "calm the fuck down mate" comment was necessary. It's not like I was caps locking the shit out of you or something.

  • @shreddinmetal4life Haha, well maybe you havn't heard enough of either Seether or Nirvana. And fair enough man.

  • @YumYumYoMum Well i've heard and own everything Seether/Saron Gas has ever released, and I used to be a huge fan of Nirvana fan in my teen years, so I doubt that. But, yeah, agree to disagree.

  • Comment removed

  • LOL just to have my say. Seether are NOT the new Nirvana, nor do they try to be, you can hear Shauns lyrics are inspired by kurt Cobain occasionally. And, I think, that Shaun has said that Nevermind is the album that made him pick up a guitar and learn to play or something. But, Seether are much more of a Hard Rock band and not a post grunge band.

  • nope :)

  • anybody know why its called "69 Tea"?

  • Give you one guess....?

    =p

  • lol

  • shaun morgan never explains lyrics or titles so we all just have to figure it out ourselves...i have no clue personally

  • think about.

    69 like the sexual position.

    Tea as in piss

  • This version is better, less....edited

  • lol from reading this, it seems that some people dont realise that seether is saron gas...

  • Thats the original version of 69 tea.

    Its fuckin good !

  • yeah !!!!!! seether or saron gas are simply amazing

  • does sound like Kurt. still good. the drums are kinda simple in this song but i think they make it.

  • Simple drums can sometimes be the best to fit in, search for Hardest Button to Button by The White Stripes

  • On the back of Fragile it's titled just "Tea".

  • he remined me kurt cobain.

  • It's been said before the Kurt Cobain was a large inspiration to him.

I've also heard people he tries to be like him, but I dunno... Either way, I like his vocals.

  • people say he tries to be like him* CURSE MY HORRENDOUS GRAMMAR! *shakes his fist in the air*

  • Whats this song about???

  • about whores.

  • not being able to escape his life

  • Okay, this is going to sound like a really stupid question lol and I hate to interrupt the Amy Lee bashing session...but does anyone know where I can find this album? I had no clue Seether used to be Saron Gas, but I'm loving all the originals of the songs out today. Stupid iTunes doesn't have it...

  • ebay lol

  • Its hard to find and usually expensive

  • Look for it on Ebay or Amazon. It retails no lower than $29.99, since they've stopped making this album.

  • You guys all act like Seether is a different band from Saron Gas... It's the same people, just a different name for political reasons.

  • Seether's also a little bit more comercialized, to make more money. Chaning slight things in the music and all.

  • Man, I like the cleaner intro way better than that of Disclaimer. Seether sounded so much like Nirvana as Saron, but not as much now.

  • Well no shit, Seether used to be a Nirvana cover band. He hasn't "impersonated" Kurt ever since they started writing there own music.

  • Comment removed

  • They were never a coverband dumbfuck. I don't know why all you idiots believe everything you hear on the internet.

  • Whatever, I don't care. That wasn't even my point. Post a retort to my actual complaint please.

  • Oh my bad. I meant to reply Conorman11. And i'm not going to "post a retort" to your actual complaint. If you want to be ignorant then be ignorant.

  • so becuase he has a simmilar vocal range to kurt, and plays realtively the same style of guitar as kurt, that makes him a kurt impersanoter?

If this is true, everyone who has ever taken infulence from another band is just impersonating that band, i guess that makes kurt a pixies impersonater.

  • haha, you'r obviously one of those whores who red somewhere someone saying "seether is the new nirvana" and now you feel the need to post your pathetic bullshit here. Go fucking listen to lets say, "Fuck it" or "because of me" and tell me thats fucking nirvana???!! fucking loser. get a life and a favourite band instead of complaining at others.

  • but come on think about it it does sound a lot like nirvana and if you cant hear it then there is something wrong with you... im not saying there the " new nirvana" im only saying they sound a lot like them....

  • Seether does sound similar to Nirvana in some songs, but their hard rock songs is where they distance themselves. Nirvana never had a "Because of Me" "Your Bore" "Fuck it" "Simplest Mistake" Like Suicide" sound to them, those songs are much harder than any Nirvana song.

  • Good Job :)

  • How right you are! Nirvana never made music as hard as Seether did, they share some similarities, but not the hard rock part.

  • @elsahlino they're both really good bands Seether is just newer and Nirvana formed in 1987...btw why is everyone talking about Nirvana........................this is seether i dont see the connection lol

  • @elsahlino they're definitely not the new nirvana, but their early work does show the influence that nirvana had on them. listen to bleach and incesticide, and tell me that skin the tiger doesn't sound like something that would be on there.

  • If you do that, I'll be a groupie!

    Amy never deserved Shaun.

  • I'm proud of Shaun, though. He took the higher road. I know I would've wrote a song more like Godsmack's "I F***ing Hate You" or that Eamon's "Fuck It".

I GOTTA IDEA!!! I'm going to message Seether on MySpace and tell them they should cover Eamon and put it as a reply to "Call Me When You're Sober".

  • Touche.

but I don't think there's anything you can do to make Amy Lee edible.

Damn, I hope she sees this! LOL

  • Yaaayyy! Neither have I! Oh well, At least it's for a kick-ass song!

I have a question...what are we going to do with the theif's testicles after we castrate him? I'm thinkin we put them in a brown bag, light it on fire, and put it on Amy Lee's doorstep. XD

"WTF?, *stomps out fire?* Oh shit, it's balls again...YOU CRAZY KIDS!!!"

Then she can write a song called "Call Me When Your Neutered"!

    XDDDDDDDD F*n ROFLMFAO!

  • XD LMAO XD Don't kill yourself over it, I'm always thinkin that I heard something before.

  • You guys are having one of the coolest conversations ever! Hahah. I hate Amy Lee too.

    Bitch.

  • Yeah, that has to be the best convo I've ever had on YT. lol

  • LOL I hunt. What does that quote come off of...it sounds fimiliar.

  • I'll bring my new hunting knives that I got for Christmas! XD

Don't forget the duct tape to cover his mouth!

  • RIGHT BEHIND YA!

  • I'd try eBay or Amazon :)

  • dose any body no if they still sell saron gas albums in stores

  • not in the u.s.

this was only released in south africa.

    ive checked EVERYWHERE

  • this album rocks...i used to love saron gas and this album, and my mate knew one of the band members and got the album signed for me,then someone stole it:(

  • I like the Disclaimer version more, but the drums sound much better in this one.

  • Does Anyone have the original version of this song?

  • This is the original version, mate, from the Fragile album. It is godly.

  • Nope this is the second version. The first version they did was a year before Fragile came out. It's the one that got them airplay and made them famous..

  • actually i believe it is on the disclaimer II seather cd. im sorry if im wrong

  • Yeah you are, dont worry about it though :P

I'm looking for the demo recorded in 99

  • oh yeah didnt disclaimer II have music from a bunch of other seether cds

  • I no shaun is a self toute guitarist but do you think he know's any notes beccause wen i play guitar i can just do riffs and solo's and i can play this song but not the same way he plays it but my way sounds the sam:S

  • Yeah...if you play guitar you must know notes. Its pretty obvious he does because every song hes ever written with Seether is in a certain key, so he knows what he is doing. I'm self taught and I understand that as well.

  • yer i know they key to songs but i cant read sheet music or do the right finger work... but i do some finger work and in the end it sounds right... You've replyed to 3 of my posts now kool

are u signed up to the seether forum by any chance?

  • xvenomx I dont go on much because people are very rude =P. Just have someone show you, its really not hard to learn.

  • ok I'll learn after I smoke a a fatty, again....

  • Also, He's not self taught

  • HI IS, KAY BUD..

  • KAY MAN

  • it says on one cold night..

  • k..

  • (Y)

  • He is self taught

  • saron gas was SA legends, then made it to USA and change the whole album sound, but kept most of the songs, let me know if you want all the old stuff... personally think its much better

  • i totally agree - they really took their sound a few notches down since they've been in the US. they still rock though

  • i totally agree - they really took their sound a few notches down since they've been in the US. they still rock though

  • this is a good song

  • i love the whole fragile motif with the bug in his hand.

  • so this record Fragile has all the songs that Disclaimer does???

  • Fragile had some extra songs that didnt make Disclaimer, but a lot of them are the same

  • Some. "Pig", "69 Tea", "Fine again", "Pride", "Gasoline", "Driven Under", and "Your Bore". And then later "Take me away" as well as "Tied my hands" appears on Diclaimer II and One Cold Night.

  • u forgot "Fade Away" which was called "Rain" when Saron Gas made it, but its the same song

  • "Rain" was not on the "Fragile" album. It was just some demo they made and played live.

  • Wow cool think I like the disclaimer version even better though, still awesome song
