For those of you wondering what ever happened to Stewart Finlay McLennan who portrayed Dr Neil McNeil so wonderfully, but according to IMDB has not acted since 2007. He is into wine and is the co-creator of the Paso Garagiste Festival held at Windfall Farms in Paso Robles, California. There are two youtube videos posted by danerland of Stewart McLennan promoting this festival. Finally we get to see him again and hear what he sounds like without his lilting scottish brogue.

We went on vacation in the Great Smokies a couple years ago, and visited the sets from the show, most of which still stand. Most of them are on private property but are still visible from the road (we didn't trespass, and don't recommend it!). They still look the same-the El Pano barn at 2:52 is right next to the road, and even still has the El Pano signs on it! The log cabin at 2:07 as seen from the "train" (not really, must have been filmed on a truck) is in Cade's Cove and you CAN tour it!
