Great song," trying not to pose..for the cameras and the girls".... I remember a radio interview with the group at the time and the song is inspired by actor Helmut Berger, I think he is Austrian but never mind, he made some great films with Visconti, notably "The Damned" where he impersonates Marlene Dietrich in full drag! There is a nice tribute to Berger here on youtube featuring clips from the "Dorian Gray"film from 1970.
