  • this is good but the drums ruin it

  • Mind blowing excelent...

  • I love the tone!! Really enjoyed it, thx for the upload!!

  • dude this is awesome really cool

  • what camera and mics did you use to do this?

  • @tmv8888 hey man - the camera is an HD Canon HF200 (it's the one with the Flash memory disk slot rather than an internal hard drive) and I plugged the bass into Logic and recorded the audio that way - I synced it all up in iMovie

  • you're a grandiose bassplayer.... but I can't stand your drumcomputer any more... it's boring. It has quite nice shuffle-rythms.....but it's really boring. always the same pattern on bassdrum and cymbals... you should try to find a jazzdrummer who yould record some pattern for you^^

  • u made it look easy . .

  • Squarepusher an influence?

  • vc é foda velho, muito bom parabéns!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • GREAT song. Very nice :)

    I'm a bassist I'm not biased am i?

  • What kind of bass is that? That fretboard looks almost like a parker guitar's ceramic fretboard too..

  • @moocowyz125 Just a black ebony fretboard

  • very nice, thanks a lot :)

  • Mr Munki,

This is my favourite of your stuff. Like the D&B drums and your harmony chords with insane right-hand.

    visog

P.s. I know 'harmony chords' is a tautology but it seems to fit what you do. It's a bit like JP's 'Our Family' but with 32nd notes...

  • teach me. i want to play bass. ItS SO COOL i'M gonna die

  • which tuning do you use?

    I guess e-a-d-g-c, right?

  • @HaLiSp no it's B - G actually - I;ve tried E - C and like it but I miss the B string...!

  • @ijazzmunki U missed the low B? I also play B e a d g and I'm thinkin about trying out eadgc, too. Maybe you could tell me some experiences about it. What's the use for it and when did you miss the Low B?

    thanks

  • Very well done. Technical and muscial at the same time. As all your videos.

That's what we can call mastering the bass guitar.

  • that was wonderful dude, could you tell me what gear you are using, amp effects.

if you havent heard tc electronics new rebelhead is brilliant, so loud and so light.

rob from westgate in sunny kent.....

  • @FUNKMASTERFOURTWO hi Rob and thanks - what you hear on the vid is just my bass though I did tweak the EQ a touch and added a little reverb in Logic 9 - I have heard the TC stuff and it is great but I just got a Genz Benz Shuttle 9.0 (900 watts in 4 pounds of amp) and it sounds amazing with this bass... so much nice gear around at the moment but I'm very happy with GB it sounds amazing - I'm using Epifani cabs at the moment too

  • @ijazzmunki if you dont mind me askin what interface do you use inbetween ur bass and the computer?

  • @moosegotloose hey man - I use a Mackie soundcard into Logic

  • This is very very good. Thanks for sharing.

  • sei un grande complimenti ottimo gusto e tecnica eccellente molto incisiva

  • wow.very very very nice..master!!!

  • The tone the tone, incredible!

  • dude that was incredible... congratulations... awesome technique!

  • im a fan.. i really hope someone would recognize you! :)

  • nice bass

  • Man, I have absolutely no idea what you are doing during the middle percussive section or how you are doing it, but I want to be able to.

  • @jamietrhcp17 let me know which you bit you mean and I'll try and explain it - the first fast bit is a mix of thumb, index and middle finger on the right hand with some hammer-ons with the left hand, kind of like Wooten does with his open-hammer-pluck but I'm doing over the pickups so it's less like slapping, it's lighter and sounds more like finger style...

  • @ijazzmunki Alright, that makes sense. Still, that's an awesome technique. And are you throwing harmonics in there too or is that just coming from fretting so quickly?

  • whats your drum machine bro? sounding very crisp.

  • hey man.. youmight wanna work with jojo mayer! :) drum beats sounds a lot like him! :) go check him out! hehe.

  • Awesome !!!

  • it's always a pleasure to hear you :) does the ramp really help your 4 finger technique? and where can I find drumlines like yours?

  • @jekof4 check out this incredible drummer KJ Sawka - I'm using one of his amazing drum loops - he released a whole load of drum and bass beats and I have them...

  • your right hand technique is amazing

  • That was awesome. Thanks for sharing!
