the pirates was still good even without johny. i think i used to watch them at he hope and anchor islington, about the same time as the downlinres scect was there
I was at this gig, and had a brief chat with Mick and John after-I shall treasure the CD they signed-we'll never see the likes of Micks playing again RIP Mick Green
Mick Green the guitarist died a few days ago so he won't be coming back to Blackpool. They were a great band on a good night and Mick was one of the best rock guitarists ever, it's a shame you remember him/them that way.
@Mr2tastypieces - did I feel awful when I heard about Mick Green after I posted this - you are so right they were a great band and Micks guitar is truly an inspiration to me (as a guitarist). I wont say anymore about the particular gig I saw - I prefer to remember them from the late 70s early 80s.
