Ahhh, that "yelp" kills me everytime I hear it. One of my friends tore hers over the summer in basketball and yelped like that. Another girl tore hers about 2 weeks ago and the same yelp. It would be my worst nightmare if it happened to me.
what the hell happened? it looked as though that happened out of thin air... is there something wrong with her? or did something cause that and i didnt see?
i used my hamstring muscle to reconstruct it, I just had a tournament this past weekend. I finally got to play i was cleared a few weeks ago and already playing in tournaments it feels awesome to play again its worth the wait :)
i tore my acl playing volleyball on september 9th, i had surgery on october 7th. In a week i will be cleared to play volleyball again! The rehab to get back isnt hard as long as you keep positive about everything. Just think about how great it will be to play again. That is what has gotten me through this. I am still on a club team and have gone to every practice and tournament. Keep yourself a part of the game it helps a lot!! Good luck with everything :)
@thecolororange2 Yeh i remember when i had phisical thereapy ( i nearly twisted my knee cap to the other side of the knee, while playing football in USA more known as soccer ), phisical therapy sucks! Idk how you can keep it positive well i was surrounded with old people smelling like sweat perhaps you were surrounded by different people, i got the injury in May 5 th 2010 and still not good enough anyway good luck for you
@asneirinhaportugal My experience was pretty much the same, my doctor made me go to physical therapy after spraining the same ankle a solid six times in one basketball season. Bunch of 60 year old men and women there sweating profusely, it was pretty awful.
@pudgylumpkins Yeh and it sucks ass cause i was the only "kid" there so they would be allways annoying me.
Atleast, i only had to do it 4 times a week about an hour each session so could be worse, sprained ankles aren't so bad i sprained my left ankle twice in the space of 3 months but in both times i was good enough to go back to play soccer like 5 days later, but i'd still would have to be carefull, you should stop playing basketball for a while and let your ankle rest then go back to it
Its a terrible injury - I think it almost 75% of cases there is no contract with the opponent
