it also depends on how sevre the autism is. I wasnt diagnosed with it till years later when I was in high school. They called it a high functional case, Asperger. But till then they said I just had a learning disability. There are alot of cases where the kids dont even talk. I knew one it was my sisters friends brother. Now that I'm alot older people never really know taht I have it. I still never laugh at jokes...
