Omg he did all dat to juss crush it at the end it was real pretty at different times before he start cuttin parts off but I wanna start doin stuff like dat
@LilCuti3Female you dont sound like a potter, but amazing potters like this man can make pieces like this without trying its only for potters wheel demonstration
It was a bit unnerving watching him smash the thing, but if you go to his website, you'll see that these shapes are very basic and inconsequential compared to his finished works...
Amazing of you to demonstrate so many different kinds of techniques. I was trying to explain to my friend what throwing was, and this was perfect. I really wish I could afford a decent wheel. ><
wow, now i have lots of respect for the fine work of potters after trying this for the first time in art class. it's hard to do!! i screwed up so much and was left with a soggy lump of clay ahah.
@justfornow14 You remind me of the kids in my sculpture class, first day of school they point and laugh because of my looks, 20 minutes into class and i had a line of people asking for my help lol
i really want a pottery wheel but i dont know where to order one from and i dont want a huge one i want one like this dude has can anyone help me out?
You're a good potter, probully a master, it takes 7 years to develop to a professional level or something like that. But you improve even more still atfer that. I was told you should hit your best at 50. I'am complete beginner at it but attend a pottery class. Centering and building the sides are tricky. i find that when i build the sides up they become uneven most of the time. but i'm getting better. some of the pots you have done are incredible, like the ones with faces! ace video!
I just purchased a pottery wheel today, but have to hide it until Christmas. It is for the whole family - I think my 3 kids will be thrilled. Thank you for the demo - very very very inspiring. Eeek. Can't wait for Christmas!!!
Amazing! this was clearly a demo - taking one piece of clay and making a bunch of classic "finished" shapes then transitioning to the next shape. bowls, urns , then back to bowl... etc. he could have stopped a bunch of times along the way. excellent demo!
no of course I'm not. Music takes years to perfect as well as pottery and other forms of art. I can hardly even remember when I commented on this video anyway...
Great video! My eyes almost fell out of my head when you did what you did to your first bowl though! I couldn't believe you would do that to a bowl with that kind of a rim on it..lol! ....but then, it only got worse..lol! you kepttttttt doing it. Really cool video. Fantastic pots! I'm going to watch everything else you have now.
That was great. I love how you kept taking off the top and coming up with new forms. I thought the finished product was terrific and then you surprised us! Your video makes me want to get out the biggest piece of clay I can handle and see how much I can do with it without worrying so much about the end result. Thanks!
dam why did u smash that. i could have gotten an a on my final tomrow if i turned that in
