Also I listened to "Have you ever seen the rain?" by Credance Clearwater Revival.
That song also seems to bring rain very often.
I just spent about 5 minutes standing in the storm. Dead dry leaves now saturated were blowing all around me. The sun has vanished behind a ceiling of dark gray, and huge drops of water are falling to soak the ground.
Never underestimate the knowledge and skills of a people far more spiritual than those who invaded and massacred them.
Try living awile as it was in the past....come out of the woods and look, listen and pay attention to the people who are the most populous right know......they are week scared and a people who act as if they are lost.....and well i guess they still are if they do not realize that this land has a totally different spirit than Europe
I'm scottish and swiss, with sioux from my great grandmother. 10 years ago I ate some mushrooms. In my mind, I saw 2 chiefs, and 2 shaman scolding me for how I played with the mushrooms and wasnt using them for their purpose. They took me to the stars to look on earth. I held the earth in my hands and slowly turned it. I was able to see earths past written in the clouds, seas and land masses as they shifted. When I came out of it, my friends told me I had been in tears for 2 hours.

@CherokeeOutlaw0301 yes I really am I was in the army and flew medivacs in Viet Nam where I recieved the air medal with 17 oak leaf clusters and the V device as well as others. @coffindragon oh wow..very much respect to you grandfather and I thank and salute you for your service, my moms dad was in Viet Nam too, he was in the Marines though, he was a door gunner, he only talks about it a little bit, not much. but what you did was very brave, i heard stories from my grandpa about medivac pilots, that takes some balls to do. I'm just a grunt myself, but I will take great care of my battle buddies as well as myself, Hooah and take care of yourself as well Grandfather.
@Adri476 That is such an ignorant statement, im not going to thumbs down this because everyone has a right to their own opinion but my goodness... if the russian nuked us and enslaved/imprisoned us and made us communist you would care about what they did to america.
@Adri476 so if I were to shot some of your family would you just get over it ? you are the type of person that makes white people ashamed to be white!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
At least these people have culture and what do you have? Your Hill Billie Cowboys? How you can take pride in something that almost wiped out the entire Native American race is beyond me.
@ohhholmes in all my 60 years I don't think I haave ever heard such crap from such a jackass before. I'll bet you are a real man and all the sheep around you can prove it!!
my comment is: why do ppl still put U.S. flags on Native peoples tomes? it is because of the stupid White mans rasist ideology that you guys are dead.
I have very little cherokee blood in me, but i am who i am, The spirits guide me to where i go. if i shall have to stand my grounds for my nation i will with my brothers and sisters by my side.
i'm thinking that maybe youtube is a bad idea. i came here looking for a little inspiration and can find it in the music but now am leaving in despair from all of the hate that is in the written word.
my great grandmother (on my father's mother's side) was full blooded cherokee, and i have grown up with a strong attachment to their unique culture. thank you for posting this! The last image really touched me! :)
@coffindragon did you bother to read the message i sent you? i read the comment you first responded to, and i realized there were somethings I left out and I appologized, I left out the fact that my dads mom was full as well, but his dad was white so that made him 1/2 and since my mom isnt Cherokee either that makes me 1/4, that and i appologized for being disrespectful to an elder.
@CherokeeOutlaw0301calling me einstirn and telling me to shut it does not sound like appologizing to me but if that is your idea of appologizing you need to work on it
@coffindragon again did you read what i sent? i didnt realize you were an elder and i thought you were some one my age tryin to be a smartass. what ever im done with this nonsense
@CherokeeOutlaw0301 no I did not see a personal message from you apopologizing to me, so it is now my turn to say I am sorry and forgive me if you will
@coffindragon thats ok, no worries, I just need to know who I'm replying to the next time i decide to run my mouth, all is forgiven Grandfather. **not making any joke of your age, I call all Elders Grandfather or Grandmother lol**
@coffindragon sir im his brother and he sent you a personal message appologizing, after he realized you were an elder and he said aloud " oh hell i just said that to an elder. ", i was right there next to him.
I also have Indian blood in me,and can't prove it as my grandmother never admitted to the affair. All my aunts have blonde hair and blue eyes,except,my mom.Could DNA help solve this issue? I have an adopted daughter from Peru and many times she has been mistaken for an Indian{she IS but from S.America}
how about learning some history dumb ass. first off INDIANS LIVE INDIA. 2nd off so called native americans lived in CANADA, SOUTH AMERICA AND THE CARRIBEAN you fucking idiot. so your adopted daughter looks like that because she is a native peruvian. just like your english forefathers killed for this land, the spanish and portugese killed for south/central america.
Every country in the world had native inhabitants. The Indians groups{at least 4} have come up to ask us what Indian tribe our daughter is from. They think she's a native from the USA. So they can't tell themselves,is my point.Every country in the whole world has killed for the land. If you are so great in history,as you claim, please name just ONE country that has not killed any native inhabitants to get land? And ppl. I associate w/do not use gutter language,or my family either,we're educated!
Please don't bother trying to prove your indian blood. You could have all the proof in the world, but you HAVE to get tribal counsel approval. As a full blooded native let me tell you, no tribal counsel is gonna acknowledge someone who has less than half blood. Chances are, even half bloods won't be accepted. Plus, you're kinda looked down upon in the community, so why bother? White people are the result of our near extinction, now you want claims to our ancestry. It's kinda insulting.
Get off of your high-horse. I never want to be acknowledge as an Indian, especially, since as you stated, they are near extinction. That is not my fault! Anyway a DNA could prove it,only personally. not tribal.
This is a free country and if I want to find out if I have Indian blood in me then I have a right to know. My mother thought it was true. I might have a full-blooded Indian grandfather. My mother was born in OK. City,OK.,where the largest Indian nation is. We don't have a name,so we won't get any free handouts, but, what's it to you? Why are you so threatened I want to find out my roots? My friends think it's a great idea to have DNA testing done. Why stick your nose into it? Is it your affair?
You still talking? Get over yourself and your possibly 1/16th native heritage. You are an insult to the native community and will be looked down upon whether you like it or not. You are a WANNA-BE. There are lots of you. You're white, be proud that you're white. You should be ashamed that you want to be apart of a culture that you helped destroy. Wether you think it or not, you've helped destroy our culture by drowning it out with yours. LEAVE US ALONE. stick to your white culture.
@jacksonsoloist24 are you a fool? estelle was not even born when that happened and for your information the American tribes also fought wars between each other killing indians on both sides. If you are going to give someone grief at least know what you are talking about and yes I am a have breed my mother was full blooded Cherokee
@jacksonsoloist24 people like you are the insult to the native community if you are putting people down because they are not 100% as well as being stupid estelle was not even alive back then so how can you blame her for something done by others
why would you be insulted? Ur nation wouldnt be near extinction if u did show ur ways to the ones who half bloods.. just curious thats all. your emeny is not the one who want to be like you but the ones who are trying to destroy completely. These half bloods and quarter bloods, the ones that do take pride in that heritage are the ones who would help fight for ur dying nation. Your hate will hurt your people. go in peace and blessed be to you and your people.
Dude I'm half Cherokee, a fourth Lakota and a fourth Cree, I also am 1/16th hispanic, german and irish, But I'am more Native than anything and I live the way of my Native roots, as for being acknowledged by the Tribal Counsel, I personally say to hell with that, for years we have called the white man prejudice and I dont mean to agrue at all, just asking a question, with the way they Tribal counsel is...dont that make them like the white man? why are we judged by our blood and not our spirit?
Such beautiful, peaceful music. I have always loved the Native flute; I hope to be able to get one someday. I have also loved watching the wonderful native dancing--it always makes me want to get up and join in. I feel a kinship with the music even if i am not one bit native, it fills me spiritually.
I am Cherokee, Blackfoot, Crow and Osage. I love the music , dances and stories. They are all special and sacred. Going to Pow Wows is always fun and exciting. I think everyone should go to atleast one and experience a little Native American history.
I have Cherokee blood in me as well, but my moms tryin to find proof of the connection in her family records(because we believe it was my mothers great grandmother that was full blooded Cherokee but just tryin to find proof of it) so we can join in with the Cherokee People and get indian names,I have always wanted to join in with the Cherokee people and learn about their ways and rituals ever since i learned that i had proud Indian Blood running in my veins.
Thanks! i hope we find the information soon,I believe in my heart that The Cherokee Nation is my true people.I will try diligently towards finding truth in that. I noticed it in my Eye Shape as well, inherited from my grandmother, many of my friends mistake it for asian and that offends me because asian is not my true Heritage and being called that discredits my Cherokee Blood, you know what im sayin?
LOL I am a mix between Indian and Korean. ;-) But I think the difference between the two is easy to see as far as physical features go. Just set them straight if they mistake you for something you are not.
LoL i always do set em straight {:D,and im sorry if i offended you with that asian comment,Asians are very respectable people, but in my case i have none in me so i quickly tell people that i have Native/Cherokee Indian in me(If i just say indian, they'd probably think i was talking about the other Indian,as from India lol)But thanks for the kind comments UsdiTsisquaya!and by the way,do you have an Indian Name?if so what is it?
LOL No worries, I found nothing offensive in your comment. ;-) I'm pretty laid back anyways.
Yeah, it would be best to just say you are Cherokee so there is no misunderstanding.
Do u happen 2 know what clan u may belong to? My Grandfather was Wolf Clan of the Cherokee and my Grandmother was Cheyenne/Dutch. I don't know too much about her side of the family. :-( I will be hiring an investigator to research her side soon enough though.
Tsisquaya is Tsalagi (Cherokee) and means Sparrow.
Ok cool, and no i have no idea what clan i might belong to,pretty much the only info i have right now is That i am from the Cherokee tribe of Indian and that my great (x3) grandmother on my mothers side was full cherokee, now im interested in finding out what clan she was a part of {:) I think an investigator would be the best bet for us as well, because we keep getting very VERY close to finding proof of our Cherokee blood but cant find the last straw that connects it all.
i'm from Croatia (under the Hungary) and I have to say only that I love native culture and music, I live with native philosophy of living and enjoing in life with hapiness.
ps. what do you think about Carlos Castaneda's don Juan and his group?
You should write a letter to the American government and tell them that we are always right haha. The US Government put us all on reservations and forgot about us :(
@rayito2005 One of the great chiefs of the old native tribes, when about to be burned for heresy, was asked by a preacher if he wanted to convert to their religion, that he could go to heaven. He replied "Will all your people be in heaven too?" to which the preacher of course replied yes. All the faithful go to heaven. To which the chief said "Then I would rather go to hell."
i love the last image too. if i should say so; the heads of the native indian tribe leaders should be the ones carved on mount rushmore. -mac, goa(india),singapore
Considering Mount Rushmore is in territory that the US government took from the Lakota Id say I definately agree!! That so-called great monument is a disgrace and kick in the teeth to the Lakotas...
@MDizzle3282peace my friend.

Thank you Great Spirit of God the Father. Us natives knew about God long before the white man "taught" us.

KillaCamRon360 2 years ago
LOL No worries, I found nothing offensive in your comment. ;-) I'm pretty laid back anyways.
Yeah, it would be best to just say you are Cherokee so there is no misunderstanding.
Do u happen 2 know what clan u may belong to? My Grandfather was Wolf Clan of the Cherokee and my Grandmother was Cheyenne/Dutch. I don't know too much about her side of the family. :-( I will be hiring an investigator to research her side soon enough though.
Tsisquaya is Tsalagi (Cherokee) and means Sparrow.
UsdiTsisquaya 2 years ago
Ok cool, and no i have no idea what clan i might belong to,pretty much the only info i have right now is That i am from the Cherokee tribe of Indian and that my great (x3) grandmother on my mothers side was full cherokee, now im interested in finding out what clan she was a part of {:) I think an investigator would be the best bet for us as well, because we keep getting very VERY close to finding proof of our Cherokee blood but cant find the last straw that connects it all.

-mac, goa(india),singapore
cxcguy 3 years ago 6
Considering Mount Rushmore is in territory that the US government took from the Lakota Id say I definately agree!! That so-called great monument is a disgrace and kick in the teeth to the Lakotas...
