Chris, Im a fan of your work. Over the past 6 years many Chinese have come to Dublin to learn English and make money, a lot of them open a business, such as 网吧,饭店还有一个中国的酒吧。There are also a number of free Chinese newspapers. So the opportunity of meeting, reading or conversing with someone in mandarin were very high. So I learned new gramer from language books and practiced it whenever I got the chance. About 4 years ago Mandarin was the 2nd most widely spoken language in Ireland, Now its Polish.
