  • still waiting your deaf retard????not out yet is it what a croc of shit

  • @drbilly100

Personal assault. I don't care weither or not you like the system. If you don't like it, then find something else. Nobody care about your pointless flaming. The X1000 is real, and now the betatester are getting them to beta-test AmigaOS 4.2, which is the OS that will be released with the X1000.

  • Good news for Amiga fans! A new REAL Commodore Amiga is in the works and will be available soon. Why settle for a wanna-be-Amiga by some fly by night operation when you can have the real thing from Commodore? For more info just visit commodoreusa d o t net!

  • @MrAmiga1000

Its' excellent news, but Commodore has nothing to do with this. It's A-EON Technology in co-operation with Varisys and Hyperion Entertainment :)

  • @MrAmiga1000 lying cunt....its vapor ware..i have a bet see you same time next year and it still won't be out

  • 2011 where is it.

  • @DS1221

5 final Rev 2 boards of Nemo, the AmigaOne X1000-boards, are now under production for the finalized beta-testers, before a mass production is happening so that everybody will have the AmigaOne X1000. As it seems, it will arrive finally close to the end of 2011. If you are like me, tired of waiting, go for the SAM460ex Complete System now, so you won't have to wait. The reason for this long beta-test of AmigaOne X1000 is to work on features for AmigaOS4 like SMP, Gallium3D, "Xena" etc.

  • he sounds like dracula

  • @fighterpiolt1992

    Good thing i don't bite like a Dracula :P

  • Thank you, f1lupo :) Doing my best :)

  • @HKvalhe Its an amazing news ! I'm an Amiga user in Brazil and this make me very excited about its rebirth :), by the way I'm wondering about business plan to launch its amazing rebirth, since we will have the best HW/OS platform around but surely we will need SW partnerships to make our AMIGA beat the serious competitors

  • @hleno

These are certainly excellent news, and it's getting better :)

  • you go Helgis!!! the X1000 is gonna be a kick ass AMIGA :-)

to old amigans world wide: check out amigaos.net and amigans.net for more news !

  • @HRHShawnPendragone

People are of course free to have different opinion, but there is truth in everything that is said. Still, it is really sad to see that the Amiga has become so modern, as will be introduced with the AmigaOne X1000 and the new SAM460ex? I would go as far to say that the Amiga has never had better times as it has now..

You will also notice that if you look closely on today's PC motherboards and the X1000, there's very little difference in interfaces, except of the main CPU.

  • It's Ricky Gervais!

  • @Scopie33

    Ricky Gervais?

  • Your passion for Amiga is good to see - however this X1000 thing looks and sounds like a PC motherboard to me, can't help but think it's just more people trying to cash in on the original Amiga, for which the innovation (with regards the platform hardware) died with Commodores purchase.

  • @EvilCensor

I know it looks like a PC-motherboard, but we have to face the fact that much has changed the last 25 years, and Amiga has also changed. I would say this is indeed the most modern, fastest, advanced and the most powerful Amiga made ever in history. I wouldn't go so far to say that the Amiga died. The Classic Amiga concept died with Commodore, yes, but also allowed the Amiga to stand on its' own, and i think that the X1000 is a great example of the Amigas' strenght today..

  • are u deaf?

  • @drbilly100

Not quite, but hard of hearing. It's a thing between being deaf and fully hearing. I'm using hearing aids :)

  • How much do you think this will cost mate? Good video

  • @132000Volts

It was said to cost slightly above 1500 Euro :) Thanks, matey :)

  • @HKvalhe ouch :`( i still want one though!

  • we are back !

  • @blade004

The new Amigas will take off because they will fill the emptiness of Amiga hardware that was lacking the last 10 years, and looking very closely at the spesifications of the X1000, it is very identical to any of todays' PCs in hardware,

except of the CPU. The CPU is a top-secret true 64-bit POWER CPU, and it's also Dual-core. Imagine having a true 64-bit SMP-based AmigaOS that would

use the 64-bit technology and multi-core to its' maximum. It's all about love and belief of the Amiga.

  • @blade004

It's important to understand that even how excellent the new Amiga hardwares will do, they will never reach the same revolutionary level as the original Amiga 1000. It's not about custom chips anymore, but custom co-processors like the XMOS, which will provide a lot of unique features, and in the Amiga it will feel right "home". Unlike the Amiga 1000, Windows and MacOS were NEVER revolutionary, not even today. That's something to keep in mind.

  • But with that being said, IF i was cashed up enough i "would" buy the X1000 but as it stands right now, its just not going to happen for me :( Still have my good old trusty A1200@030/50 sitting on the opposite side of the room so that will do me for now ;)

  • Do you have any idea about the cpu ?.maybe a power5 or power6?

  • @hankillo1

The CPU is PowerISA 2.04+ compilant, and currently it's top secret, but guess has it that it could be the P.A Semi's PA6T processor. Watch this space..

  • still waiting what date will it be out? price over 600 euro's forget it!

  • @drbilly100

If you can't afford the X1000 that will surely cost a bit above 1000-1200 Euro, then you will probably feel that the forthcoming SAM460ex from ACube, ready in September 2010, will be the right one for you. AmigaOS 4.1 is currently now being ported to the new SAM460ex, so if you can't afford the X1000, then SAM460ex is the one for you. Both will be excellent systems in their own nature way, trust me..

  • its supposes to come out in summer?? its summer now !!!!!where is it??? vapourware??? have they gone bust lol

  • @drbilly100

Not quite true. Summer starts in June, and AmigaOne X1000 is to be worldwide demonstrated at the Vintage Computer Show in London 18-20th of June 2010..

  • @drbilly100

You are too used on vaporware,

wait a bit more, its not end of the summer either :-)

And while in that style, bring me Duke Forever and Elite 4

    for X1000

  • when is it comming out give me a date and if its over 1000 euros your out of your fricking mind come on are u in the real world when I can get an I7 machine cheaper lol I dout it will ever get into the highstreets here in the UK

  • @drbilly100

Everything is the real world, also the Amiga. People buy it and support it because they love it. It's like buying a nice car because you love it. No Amiga lovers and users care about such comments you give. They are irrelevant. Why stick with a boring Windows-system that will most likely only cause problems than joy?

  • @drbilly100

Have you even seen computer prices before everything went to CRAP

    quality components and China?

My Amiga 1200 without HD made in UK costed 800 DEM (that would be 800 eur now) and color monitor was about 800 DM also. New HDD also costed a lot ...

In short: price is high because its dual core PPC board WITH additional programmable CPUs. Find me such PC board.

And check the Macintosh prices now :-)

  • @vojinvidanovic79

You should probably know that the Euro value is still falling, making many gods a lot cheaper than supposed. If you can't afford the X1000, then it's not for you, and you would have to choose other hardwares. I think the X1000 is pretty well setup in such a modern and flexible way never seen in an Amiga before. X1000 is no doubt the most powerful, advanced and modern Amiga ever seen the light.. The add of Xena was said to be a very small cost that didn't affect the price.

  • @HKvalhe

Well, since Serbia is in Europe, but outside with import taxes, SAM EP440 will cost me about that X1000 :-(

    Maybe in the future.

But Xena CPUs are also disctinction from dual core PC boards

and I would like to see them enjoy the great use!

  • @vojinvidanovic79

True, it can be added on a normal PC through a PCI-e card. I see your problem that it can be expensive. Try to send a email both to A-EON and AmigaKit, and let see if they can help you out somehow. If you can't afford the X1000 in the first place, try to find other Amiga solutions. There is no reason to be left out..

  • @HKvalhe

Well, such PCI addons rarelly go that well, so it will become "Amigesque" feature, like custom chips used to be :-) Since dual core will be off for some time Xena should be used I hope :-) No, X-1000 is out of picture for me now (just like A4000T was) I am getting my EP440 from Acube, and it will be expensive.

Maybe when SSA (no custom agreement) gets on and in year or two I might get X1000 or EP460. Always takes some time to tune up the software also (e.g. OS4 is now stable on SAM)

  • @vojinvidanovic79

True, because from the very beginning, the Amiga was created with uniquality (is that the way to spell it) in mind. Amiga was never a typica computer platform, but a very special computer platform, and the new Amiga platform will prove that once again. I would say that this extremely advanced and flexible co-processor "Xena" will feel quite home in such an Amiga platform, and nowhere else. My suggestion is that you should try to save all money you can. It's better than zero.

  • I am looking forward to this. If it actually comes out I will get one for sure.

  • @varmfskii

So am i. Saving all the money that can be saved to buy this computer system when it comes out. It's possible that i will buy it from Versalia Amiga store in Germany..

  • how much will it cost? when will it come out in the uk? does it run on the internet? can I buy it from a high street shop?..lol

  • @drbilly100

Between 1000-1500 Euro. There might be some variations to setup for this computer system. It's fair to assume that as a start, the computer system won't

have the biggest harddrive or memory, the fastest CPU and the most powerful GPU-card, but will have a very good overall setup to start off with, so that the user can easily expand later on when necessary...

  • Bummers are deaf. This is just vapour ware, No will buy it and it will die just like amiga one and all the half arse attempts to resorect the AMIGA, just let it in die in peace. To many broken promises

  • Is there something about the Amiga that makes it uniquely attractive to ugly boring middle aged men?

  • I find your question very interesting, and the answer is surely yes. If you are into creativity and unique ways to do things, the Amiga is for you. There is no limitation to how old or ugly you should be. That's no excuse to not use the Amiga ;)

  • Can't wait for it to be released!

  • We are back ..and we gonna kick some ass !!!

    Hahahahahhaha AMIGA 4 EVER !!!!!

  • Indeed :)

  • launch it soon please.I will be the first one to buy it

  • I agree :)

  • Amiga forever!

    swap or die

  • Absolutely ;)

  • do you have any spec's on the new system because i really cant wait for its release.

also will it be available worldwide because i live in austrlia?

  • Very cool! As long as it's not crazy expensive, I'll probably buy one also.

  • Thanks Helge, always appreciate your videos and thoughts!

  • Always a pleasure, my friend :)

  • Don't be too quick to prejudge just because we know that Amiga has been away for a long time. Away yes, but never dead. Hyperion are working on the necessary limitations and other things that have never seen the light in the Amiga. Don't you think Hyperion know what they are doing? I think they do. At the moment, Amiga is just fun, but soon it will be so much more again. Remember, it was the Amiga that introduced real Multimedia capabilities in the first place, back in the 80-ies.

  • Do you always delete inconvenient comments? ;)

  • Actually, no :) Not usually, but i found your first comment a bit...unpleasant. It's important to understand that when it comes to the Amiga, i am ALWAYS serious...

  • @HKvalhe

    Im the same, always serious:)

  • Excellent! :)

  • i cant wait to see what the X1000 can do:)

  • @colin419

    I agree!

  • "Fffffff, Fffffffffff" :D

  • Thank you very much for that :) I used a trial version of a YouTube video converter, to convert the video from AVI to MP4 :)

  • great video and great amiga news :-)

what is that trail version in the center of the screen??
