@johneymute : Yes, Street Fighter 2 sold 6.3 million copies for the SNES......compared to the 1.3 million for the Genesis. This was one of the games that contributed to the Genesis' downfall (the terrible 3-button Genesis controller also had a big part in Genesis' defeat)

I really did not mind the lag as i thought that's just how it was meant to be. The SNES' main problem was its miniscule CPU when compared to the mega drive which really did hinder third parties from really taking advantage of the then amazing hardware that was on offer without spending a shitload of money on extra cart chips and such (and even then ). If it's CPU was at least on par with the mega drive's (lol genesis, such a lame name) then it would have kicked its ass with no problems at all!

Yea all the details are there lol you missed out in dhalsim stage theres suppose to be 6 elephants theres only 4 2 elephants are missing and in ehonda's stage if u look closely at the bathtub the water is suppose to over flow it only drips from the ceiling but it is fun I still have mine and also the sound is not from the arcade i have street fighter collection 2 that def has all the original sounds and look at dhalsim stage you will see 6 elephants and in ehondas stage the bathtub overflows.

Yep the "lag" is just part of the game engine, including all arcade versions as well, it would slow down when any projectile connects and also drops every second frame of input during slow down making combo's much harder to land, I like to piano or even mash during these moments.

Deception was pretty good, Armageddon was way too oversaturated imo.

For me the peak was the Mortal Kombat 3 sub-series, it's close, but I think MK3 had a broader learning curve than SF2. It had more WTF elements, even without the fatalities.

Don't get me wrong though, SF3 3rd Strike came along and spunked on every 2D fighter ever made.
