Haiti and Dominican Republic is known as hispaniola,they used 2 have the same diplomatic relationship do 2 spaniolian history. The main laguage spoken in Haiti is creole which is a combination of french and spanish. I have never heard that before but I can agree somewhat on the Creole language being mixed with SOME latin words. Now which type of Brazilian is what you need to figure out (i.e. Mestizo, Amerindian, Afro-Brazilian which is a Black Brazilian, etc)If you are from Haiti you are Haitian. If you want to get technical you are Afro-Carribean or West Indian. Its not based on the language its based on the country's inhabitants and ethnic groups that followed!

The only thing I have to correct you on is Haitians should not and would not be considered Latin because only a small(and I mean small) portion of our language has Latin in it. Yes by being politically correct you would hear the official language is French but in reality Kreyol is really spoken. French is taught in the schools at a certain grade.
