A KII meter does not communicate with ghosts, A KII meter picks up emf but also picks up Radio Frequencies so it will go off from two way radios, cb's car alarms, cell phone antennas, cell phones, wireless, and a host of other objects.
Hey nice video man! Anyone know where i can get one of these. Also which is the official brand of making these. And how can i tell if its a copy or not?
theres an on and off switch that just came off from the ghost hunter store for like $75.00 pretty cool getting mine soon for my ghost hunting team (DELTA-HUNTERS)
@sonicgodzilla123 Your emf will not usally pick up your phone. Also if you have the unmodified version the wires bunch up in the back causing false positives
The dime will wear out the switch over time. I have a K2 I did the switch mod too. But best thing to do is leave the K2 in the case and use a better meter. The K2 will pick up all kinds of stuff you don't want to pick up. I use it to check for wiring and cell phones before the investigation, or during. Not a good meter to find ghosts with... I use the Mel Meter for investigating the most, along with a Tri-axle meter.
GIGParanormal--You're right! I looked around like crazy for one locally, no luck! I got one for Christmas and I will use it once the weather breaks here. It is push on/push off model. I can't wait to use it!
It can also be manipulated by cell phones. You have to be careful when doing investigations with these meters. It's best to have all electricity and cell phones turned off, or at least know what your surroundings are.
I so agree with you. I have met too many people who want to believe everything that happens with a piece of equipment is communication from the other side...
I found something even better than a dime. I was trying an american dime, but it was too thick. The PERFECT thing to use is a guitar pick! Place the wide end of the pick through the top of the crack all the way down into the space between the button and the surrounding frame so that the pointy end of the pick is facing up. I don't know if it matters, but the pick I used for this is a yellow Dunlop .73mm. It's the perfect thickness! And it's plastic so no chance of metal causing false readings!
I just got one from DAS and it's the same one but they've modified it so that you don't have to use a coin. It doesn't have the on/off switch on the side, just on the front and hitting it once....it stays on =]
You have to be careful with the coins in the button. It can wear down the plastic, and eventually it will depress the switch that turns on the K2 meter and it won't work anymore. It takes a a lot of uses, though. Mine wore out after about a year that I had had it, and it went through a lot of ghost hunting.

@GIGParanormal where can you go into a store and buy one of those KII meters?
Kvivian 2 years ago
I bought mine on eBay 2 years ago. Honestly I don't think you can get one in a local store. Mostly just online...

I used my K2 Meter and had a very long, informative session with a female who had committed suicide in 1903. I posted it on my page.
