@johnwoog you can just hold the shutter down and it will take the 3 to 7 images (depending on your settings) but you can also take each exposure change separately by just pressing the shutter once for normal (0) exposure, again for negative (-1/2) and a third time (if you are using a 3 step shift) for the positive (+1/2) exposure.
I tend to do them separately if im using my tripod or of a stationary object or scene. If im trying to take photos of a moving one then continuous shoot can be used.
P.s the G2 takes auto bracketing a
Like continuous shoot, so you only press the Shutter once and hold it
