Ok, some guy, who doesn't know how to roll yet, goes to a pool to try to learn it, and then posts a video of it on Youtube. What's the big problem? Why are there so many people jumping on this guy? At best, he gets some tips that maybe help him improve, at worst, it is one more video on youtube that won't be winning any Oscars in the documentary category. If you don't want to watch it.... don't watch it. Why waste additional time posting harassing comments?

yes but surely you should start in a pool boat, alot easier to roll in m8, then move onto playboats and other boats with high rails.

Yes i am but thats not the point, just cus i tell this guy he shouldnt be in a playboat doesnt mean im having a go, he obviously cant playboat yet though. Big woop u paddle class 3 & 4. I'm British Freestyle Champion for the Junior Mens category, i travel the world and went to the Netherlands last week to Dutch Water Dreams. I run class 5 on a regular basis so i can be as good as possible on big water with my moves. But even i learnt to roll in a shit boat first! ?!!?!?!!? Peace :)

i'd suggest learning to bail out of the boat before you try rolling it,it seems to me you can't bail out very well.

Also have more than one attempt at rolling.

he cant pull his on deck or not panic under water, he leans back deck when he panics, is this instructor thick, that guy is gonna hurt himself. het him doing bow dips to work and develop his hip flick, teach him how to pull his spraydeck, and tell him, "roll, puss the paddle up, possition pull, flick" read the bcu manual!

u dont have a hip flick AT ALL!!!try at the same time as putting pressure on the right blade flicking ur hips to the left/kicking ur left leg away from the pressure to right the boat ur gona do serious shoulder damage the way your going!!

This made me laugh.

Top tip. Use the shallow end.

Second top tip when you fail trying to roll bang bottom of boat and then tuck forward so you're kissing the front of your boat then all the 'rescuer' has to do is reach over your boat and pull it towards him. It's just like rolling an empty boat up.

Considering you were in a pool and your buddy was there and he did not advise you to this BEFORE capsizing you might want to learn with a club.....
