BTW I met these guys years ago and they make a nice product... The 6 meter Omni works great!!! I have even phased 4 of the Two Meter omni angles in the past, and wow what a cool antenna. Much easier to tune than some more High End 2 Meter Halo antennas on the market!!!
They are GREAT antennas! My friend has a 6m one on his 2nd floor apartment balcony (on a small wooden mast stuck in a small flowerpot filled with cement), and it gets out very well when 6 is open.
Great stuff. The 6m omniangle looks interesting... I am restricted to indoor antennas here at this QTH - so wondering how it might fare indoors? How did it go up on your tower? I've just ordered the 10/20/40 end fed from Dale at PAR, for portable use. I've heard good things about them, and PAR and their quality of antenna construction. 73 - Rob VK2GOM / G0MOH
The perfomance on the tower is great, I have the 6m at about 100ft and it works great. The mounting is great it just clamps right to the tower leg and thats it. Using it indoors I imaging would work but it would depend what it was close to that could de-dune it or effect the pattern.
