  • @Groeneroest i'm sorry to say that i'm still very very VERY young to get a job and if i do get a job, it would be illegal. so i'm sorry to say I CAN NOT GET A JOB.:)

  • This movie is awesome because it reveals the culture and lifestyle of the drug addict as opposed to the feelings and mind-state you enter when mainlining as opposed to snorting it digesting pills or even drinking Morphine sulfate solution from a dropper...

It's more of like a nature documentary on the routine of being a drug addict as opposed to looking at it from the outside or have it romanticized in consumer social media or fashion.

It's a really boring way to live.

    But it feels really good.H

  • @JonesArmandoHoward well, the way I looked at it, and i've read alot of teh author's work is that it is really mood dependent. Irvine Welsh is good about showing how differentlty renton thinks when he's up and when he's down. Its really a fascinating journey. I don't think welsh really condemns drugs so much as says "Its fine when you're 20, but you have to grow up some itme"

  • @demonicspire1

It was more of like a paradigm for responsible drug use, meaning that if you keep doing it you go nowhere and each character is like a degree of sickness and Renton is like a recreational drug user and Begby is like a burn-out (meaning it no longer works and gets high on other things) and Sick-boy is like a chemical entity that cannot go back to being normal and spud is someone who is not smart enough to actually get it but enjoys it while its there...

  • this movie felt a lil more light hearted than Requiem for a dream which felt truly depressive, at least the spiral of drug addiction was portrayed there a bit more effective than in this but this is also a very serious movie about drug addiction and it was before Requiem so both films are top notch in their own rights its just Requiem felt more depressing to me.

  • Classic never gets old

  • I live in Edinburgh. I bike past the street where Renton runs down the stairs and nearly gets hit by the car all the time :D

  • @wildmustang184 oh my gosh im envy you so mutch.

  • best intro ever
