I love this film it's just plain beautiful. It's beauty in film. And the story is just incredible.

It's a shit film with a shit story. It's pure communist propoganda: The rebels kill themselves for the sake of a greater whole, the land of china (the government). 'Hero' was funded by the communist government to quell any sense of individualism in the chinese people. Jet Li is a pawn, or maybe, a Prawn. Utterly dispicable, i've never been so disgusted at a film ever. The fight scenes are naff too.

well, the thing is I undestand your point. But I would understand a good number of chinese people are smart and aware regarding goverment attacks or programming through any type of media. Me being puertorican I'm aware of the "tricks" from my government and as well of the US gov's. So, in my mind, this is a wonderfully well done film; and I understand people who like Zoolander or Star Wars. So I guess is a give and take.
