  • sounds like 9/11

  • to many pass devices going off

  • good footage. great job on part of E-75, T-33 and FDNY.

  • really? like wtf the first thing they tell u in probie school never stand still with a pack on a durrr. so why doesnt that dumbshit catch on what is he sleeping lmao??

  • Holy shit my Ex-girlfriend Michelle Figueroa lived in that building on the second floor 1977. I lived in the two story house right up the block on Creston ave right across the street from the school yard PS 79

  • How long does the air supply last in there (is it SCOT or SCBA?) and do they have an alarm to let the FF know he is running out of oxygen? ALL FF's deserve so much respect

  • @gsarjos the most SCBA´s in Germany for example are filled with 6 Liter´s Air which is compressed with 300 Bar. So you have 1800 Liter´s of Air inside the Cylinder. Some departments are using 6,8L Twin-Packs or 4 L / 200 Bar Twin-Packs. I think the US-SCBA´s are similar to pur 6L/300Bar Packs.

With the 6L Air-Cylinder you can work 20 - 30 Minutes. If the pressure drops below 50 Bar a loud signal warn´s you. We have also a SCBA-Monitoring which remind´s the FF to look at the pressure.

  • @lupo23

in Australia Volunteers, we use 9 litre 207 bar, wish we had smaller cylinders like you guys, how much does the 6.8 300 weigh? cos ours are like 16 or 17 kgs

  • @IIIFiTzYIII2 I think around 14 Kg, they use 2 carbon composite cylinders with 6.8L air each.

  • @gsarjos SCBA stands for Self Contained Breathing Apparatus, thats the term used to describe what we use. Scott is one brand of SCBA. Bottles are usually rated as 30, 45, or 60 minute bottles but they will not actually last that long under stressful and working conditions. Theres alot more to it and it wont fit in this box. If you have any other questions feel free to message me and ask, I have no problems answering them.

  • 2nd alarm? That would have been a 10-18 in Brooklyn! Truck would have probl'y kncoked it down with the can. :-)

  • Hehe .... we have ignition .... nice video ....

  • How do they refill the fire hydrants? What happens if all the water gets used up inside the pump?

  • @MikeOShow Fire hydrants run of the city's water supply. The engine company (pumper) connects a supply line (big hose) to the fire hydrant which gives it water.

  • the PASS device goes off after 30 seconds full alarm of being motionless jackass. not 10 minutes. hell,10 minutes you can send my wife the 3 1/2 times my salary death benefit TY.

  • where is Spiderman?

  • That whistling sound is an alarm that when a firefighter is motionless for a certain amount of time it goes off signaling that a firefighter is down.As for the "K",that there means the end of a radio message.

  • @MrPaulaponte That is correct, it is called a PASS device. It is a alarm connected to the SCBA pack that does what you described. The newer ones have GPS capability too

  • What is that whistling sound? Also, what is meant when chaufer replies,"K" after ending transmission ?

  • us firefighters have this machine in our shoulder if we dont move for ten minutes the alarm goes of like the sound your hearing sometime we live it next to our trucks so it goes off that the sound your hearing

  • After 911 i'm sure this fire was like a day at preschool.

  • HOW DID THE FIRE START AD WERE IS THE AARM COMING FROM ?

  • Wen I hear tht alarm all it does is remind mii of the wtc!

  • heeyyy that's were my aunt lives..but she was on the other side..she said she smelled smoke so she went out the fire escape. cool

  • i live like two grocery store down there.. damn..

  • Heiii thattss weree i livee att :P

  • If it's a block away just turn the pack off and the pass wont alert.

  • Yeah!, with additional Hydraulic Ventilation at 01:19. Greetings from Chile.

  • That doesn't look like hydraulic ventilation just the straight stream from the boys on the inside doing the interior attack. If it was hydraulic ventilation it would be a wider fog pattern and would be sprayed out the window for a considerable amount of time until the interior was cleared enough for better visual and reduction of heat.

  • Yeah!, with Hydraulic Ventilation at 01:19. Greetings from Chile.

  • Notice how fast the knock the fire down. Interior attack... flame to smoke to steam. Good job.

  • Nice !! Notice how fast they knock the fire down. Interior attack, flames to smoke to steam... Nice job.

  • Good example of how to line up your turn table tower 33

  • was there a roof team up there on the roof? that was a 5 or 6 story building im sure an ariel is suppose to go to the roof.

  • They use the interior stairs

  • Well said fd1092

  • nice video

  • yeah these guys know what they are doing, and to say they don't means you're ignorant. Engine 75 does 5,000 runs a year, every year, with over 400 OSW's...how many times do you leave quarters?

  • A pass device going off like that is a big problem for any fire department.

  • this was on my building but i live on the right side...

  • This fire should be mandatory viewing for bean counters. Only a handful of departments can assemble enough Firemen PER UNIT in the initial stages of a fire to make that building behave the way those Brothers did.

  • Whats with the F'in airpack alarm....constant problem in FDNY....professionals shut thier masks off properly...Its annoying...hampers radio communications...and desensitizes everyone for when their is a real emergency

  • How do you know what "constant" problems are for the FDNY? Do you work in NYC? I doubt it. Another jerk off arm chairing a fire you wern't at. You'd of shit your pants at this fire!

  • I agree,I think FDNY fight enough fires to know what they are doing!Thats why so many people go to NYC to stand outside FDNY quarters to film FDNY crews! Let FDNY mandate for themselves what are "constant" problems!

  • Hey "capt" the PASS going off is a block away from the fire building and is of no consequence to the operation. I think 75/33 know what they are doing. Get to the floor above and then talk to me. These are the professionals numbnuts.

  • Thanks for the comment....LOL THis is another example what happens when you leave your laptop on/open and go out on a run....relocating company Lt. got me good....But paybacks are a bitch....LOL....the job ya gotta love it. Stay safe brother

  • Good one...
