I am successful until 3:30 where your phone boots in the mag loader when holding down the power button. My phone gets stuck on the white screen with HTC in green. I have tried removing the battery and holding down the power button when it boots again but no luck. Any ideas? I am upgrading from W6.5

i installed the radio the magldr 1.12 and when i try to install the leo it installs but when the dft windows phone thing pops up i press next then next again and then it says an error description: USB init failed, Error description: EnterBootLoader missing... does anyone know what to do to fix this???

hello mate,

I held down the volume key for the first time and got the three colour screen but when I try to go through installing the radio first, i get a prompt from Microsoft Windows stating "rapitool aplpication has stoped working...a problem has caused the program to stop working properly..." and the window for the updater says there is a connection error but on the three colour screen it says USB in the white area.. do you know what could be a cause of this?

I have a problem, I think i did everything right, I followed the instructions and everything went the way it should but when it rebooted for the final time it froze on the DFT screen and the only way to change it was to take the battery out...and it's still doing that. I have recently installed a new rom, it installed successfully but when the phone is on it stays on for one minute then it shuts off by its self. when i turn it back on stays on the T-mobile stick together screen. Also When I take the battery out for like 10 minutes the phone boots up to windows but turns off after 1-2 minutes. Please help, I have tired Reinstalling the rom again but that does not help

I have a T-Mobile HD2 but my service is from "Simple Mobile". My problem is when I'm attempting to update radio from bootloader screen it stays at 0% the whole time and the computer comes up with "ERROR [262] UPDATE ERROR" and says "The ROM Update Utility has encountered communication errors during the update process." @Mrc492 sorry man, can't really help you out, only thing i can suggest is keep trying to install it, make sure you have the latest radio for your device, if that doesnt work, then try a task29 (google task 29 for hd2) and then start over again.

Did you have the sd card in the phone when you installed the WP7 ROM?

WP7 doesnt recognise sd cards... you need to have the sd card in the phone when you install... it will then use the sd card as phone memory!

@Rushd2002 you could try a different wp7 rom, see if that makes any difference, use the one in the description thats titled "WP7 HD2 Custom ROM v1.01.00 (Already Unlocked/Jailbroken)"

Helo, I tried everything, and everything seemed tobe going fine until I reached the flashing magldr part. I did it, and the "Battery" part where u chose option # 5 did not appear. Instead, the phone automatically rebooted and it has been stuck on the HTC boot screen ever since, with no sign of changing after 3 hrs. My SPL version is 1.42 HSPL, and I have a european HD2.

I've browsed around and noticed that quite a few people were having this problem too.A video guide would be nice..TQ.

@ThePleotarrius search on how to do a task 29, it will take you back to the beggining and you can start over again, it will wipe your device and clean up any left over files on your nand.

@96edwysMobile TQ for the extra info, but it just can't seem to solve the problem. I've done some reading and it is my (maybe wrong) conclusion that the static bootscreen (HTC ) logo might be due to my winmo 6.5 rom simply dissapearing.

However, as task 29 suggests, flashing a new rom should be no problem; the catch is that I cannot even access winmo 6.5 and thus cannot establish activesync with pc. Furthermore, I've tried to flash while in RGB mode but the same problem still persists...

@ThePleotarrius Hay Pleo. That just happen to me today.... Turn off your fone (take out battery if need to), hold volume down button as you boot up so that it takes you to the multi coloured boot screen.... The word 'usb' should appear at the bottom (like in this video tut) and your PC should recognise the fone then as a storage device..

@junaid1571 once you install it, its wipes your sd card and internal memory. if you have your pics and contacts backed up then you can put them back onto your phone but if not then sorry but they are gone forever
