  • Do I need a heating mat? I live in Ireland so we don't get the hottest weather.

  • So just a couple of crickets a week?

  • great vid m8 s be possible?

can u keep 2 differnt species of scorpion in the same tank i got a golden scorpion atm and i want a giant forest scorpion so yea will thi

  • @kortan2 You dont have to play with a pet, some are kept for visual interest. if the idea is sick, there was kind of no point in watching this video. Just saying

  • Ugh, this video sucks. They need more room than that to roam and dig and rearrange. At night they really make a mess of their set ups, so give them lots of room. Their temps were never mentioned; they should be around 82 degrees F with an average humidity of over 70%.

  • @alabamaboy357 well, tell me how can you play with a scorpion? with a stick ? even if you play with your bare hands would you get joy? that is the point! this is sick if you gettin joy while you play with it.

  • @kortan2 its fun to watch them eat, thay look cool and THEY BARELY STING!

  • this is sick ! i understand that you can own a dog or cat or a bird ! why would you buy a scorpion that you cant even touch it or play with it. this is sick...

  • arnt you ever nervous its gonna sting or pinch you?

  • Ive just moved a goldfish out of a glass tank a bit bigger than that. I know exactly what Im putting in there! Great vid, thanks.

  • Mine was around $40 and he has a great terranium emperors rock!

  • how long do they live?

  • @thecrazy171510 Pet scorpions are bred for temperament. They try to breed as much aggression as they possibly can out of them, just like any animal.

  • these scorpians do have heat requirements.. 80s to 90s is what they like. if you dont care abut your pets happiness then yea it dont matter but i care about my scorpion and want him happy

  • Save it for later ayy? ;)

  • I want one so bad but my parents I just want to show them that I could take care of something

  • i thought the scorpion was crying i want a owner

  • cool ill bet that ES will love having no room to move around in.

  • SICK MAN

  • no emperor scorpion are from asia and africa i have one they are a tropical animal

he knows what hes talkin about

  • @offsprayjay what heating do they need ? PLZ tell me

  • Emperor scorpion should have dirt of some kind, not bark! They like to burrow and the bark will fall down and maby kill them

  • @kearbster LOL!!!! Ok then... run along and play now.

  • alot of scorpions live in desert regions.. so they dont need much humidity but munch!

  • @Professerfuzzy Wrong.

  • just to let you know emperor scorpions were asian befor they were imported to africa

  • im eating a scorpion lolipop while watching this :)

  • is it me or do most people that talk on expert village videos have no knowledge of what they are talking about?

  • I got one but am hiding in from my mom

  • "Come on buddy, come on, shoo AHHHHH!"

  • 1 large locust will be fine

  • Mist it a little? You drowned that cage....

  • what does mist means

  • Asia, Africa... Same difference, they both start with an "A"

  • obesity is a problem with scorpions!?? wooow lol

  • i though emperror scorpion doesnt need moisture cuz they live i9n africa???

  • @TheFucker55 rainforest floors in africa.

  • @UhOhPopcorn ......oh

  • @TheFucker55

There are tropical forests in Africa you stupid fuck.

  • @squanto9328

    there are O_o

i never knew that thank you

  • @TheFucker55 in the tropical regions of tanzania etc. it is really humid.. there are from rainforests :D

  • and that my friends, is how to suffocate a scorpion

  • Scorpions creep me out. I have a Tarantula but they don't bother me...not sure why Scorpions do.

  • DONT THEY STING ?!?!?!: -s

  • @waleedgilani an adult emperor scorpion's stinger is too large and too dull to pierce human skin. but it's just a bee sting.

  • @IrishPrideBaby92 but scorpion stings in South Asia ... i mean the yellow scorpions ... their stings are very dangerous and might kill too

  • @waleedgilani The color or location of a scorpion doesn't determine how dangerious they are. There are many yellow/brown/black scorpions that are harmless. They can sting, but it just hurts, it doesn't cause harm (unless you're allergic). The general rule of thumb (and there are exceptions to this) for determining how dangerous a scorpion's sting is this: the smaller the claws, the worse it's sting might be. The bigger the claws, the less severe the sting may be.

  • @S0XF0X THanks Im thinking about getting a scorpion so now i know which sting is worse

  • @waleedgilani scorpions? sting? impossible...

  • thank you now i have tarantula and a scorpion

  • Thank u

  • i grow baby marijuana and wild flowers in my scorpion holding tank

  • do they bite and are they poison?

  • @supersanchez1991 they don't bite, but they do pinch, and they do sting. They are poisonous, but its only as bad as a nasty bee sting. (it will only be fatal if you are allergic to scorpion venom, just like people who are allergic to bee venom.) But there are species that can kill you, so do your research.

  • not being funni bt a cobra bite is worse. iv bin to africa an asia an the amazon rain forest try bein bitten by a black widow thn cum see me. its nt th bite tht nearly killed me it was th venom. lucky enoff i survived without anti venom. wana kno how eat plenty of veg an yur body cn handle most infections an venoms. iv researched it

  • @GhostV1619 Black widow spiders are very common here in Maryland. I haven't seen one in years though, but i grew up in a much more wooded area and used to see em pretty often as a kid. I'm sure other variations of black widows may be more poisonous, some less. We don't get brown recluses in Maryland, at least almost never, but their venom is a much bigger issue.

  • @GhostV1619 Have you researched your grammar aswell? ;)

  • So you are pretty much saying that they are American who eat their heart out and turn sick and obese

  • Emperor Scorpions are found in African and Asian countrys so please before you bag this guy for trying to help do some research

  • emps are from africa. i could probably make a better tutorial.

  • Would a 50 gallon tank be to big for a one of those cause dats all i have and i really want one...

  • @earlsfav Does it matter if its too big? :P

  • @earlsfav u can have it as large as u wont just not to small

  • pritty cool pet until they sting u then gd night

  • @fightbox4 Emperor Scorpion venom is very mild to humans. The sting itself will be more painful than the venom. So they're not life threatening.

  • @fightbox4 Its like bee sting.

  • @fightbox4 Not really, unless you're especially sensitive to scorpion venom there's only around 24 species of Scorpion that are particularly venomous...though all scorpions should be treated as dangerous...hell anything with venom should be.

  • does it hurt if one bites you?

  • @quinnbeeloved not really

  • I like how everyone is hating one him for saying the wrong origin, who gives a fuck about the right care, it's the right origin that's important.

jesus christ, the public IQ have fallen.

What will all the people that traveled to asia looking for a emperor scorpion after watching this video do?

  • Nice video

  • yea alright, u do like big enclosure, is that why u put your centipede (how to care for centipede video) in a pickle jar...

  • wtf is a scorpion!>:(

  • wow a 3.20milute video from expert-on-fags.

  • i thought this was "scorpion buying a car" lol

  • @richbebo lmfao... you made my day

  • is caring for a reclaw scorpion copasetic with the same guildines for emperors?

  • Stop being mean to the dude! He's giving us some good pointers! I am thinking about getting a scorpion some time later on.

  • can scorpions drown?

  • @left2fan4dead Yes

  • what about sand?

  • Emperors come from AFRICA not ASIA!!! Know what you are talking about before you make a informational video..

  • Low 80s not early 80s.... :D... but that said this is a decent instructional video its to the point and of useful information!!

  • does it smells?

  • wtf man, i have that small of an enclosure for my 4 month old emperor. I feel bad for that scorpion :\

  • nice help man,thnx

  • do u recon i could keep a desert hairy scorpion in a fluval edge aquarium? 6 gallon betta tank? i moved my fish to bigger tank and thats just sitting there empty?

  • @Rshackleford69 No they don't, they like it very moist so you'll find them in more tropical climates (like rainforests). NOT in the desert...

  • did he say there an asian species??? there from africa.

  • "thats just me, I like big enclosures" - yea mate looks like it

and what you on about their from asia??? that species comes from africa!!!!!!

  • Dude that enclosure is tiny! I sure feel bad for that scorpion! I have one about the same size and I keep him in a 5 gallon tank

  • this is terrible and please no one use any of this information as a basis for owning a scorpion, its just all very wrong.

  • Helpful tips , dude. Is it advisable to handle them once in a while? If so what's the safest way? Btw cool shirt.

  • Come on guys! Give him some slack. He doesn't have a brain in his skull..

  • @TJsHerps what do you mean

  • Emperor scorpions are from Africa, schmuck.

  • @ubit397 no, they come from antarctica.

  • @hkkids57 Oh, yeah.... I forgot. lol.

  • @ubit397 Heterotmeteris(the forest sciorpion),a close realative,is native to SE asia

  • @TheKraitman He said "Emperor", but now that you mention it, the scorpion in the video APPEARS to have a black telson, which would rule out it being an Emperor. That being the case however, he's still a schmuck for getting the species wrong.

  • @ubit397 true,if your going to keep exotic pets, know what species your keeping, and their natural history.such as "Emperors are asian",no, their west african,as is several sub species of the genus Pandanis,Heterotmeteris is the largest species of scorpion, they are founfd in SE Asia, they tend to have an attitude and are much harder to find the P.emperor, which as I understand it now, have CITES II protection,so you may not be seeing many of those any more, good news for the scorpion!

  • @TheKraitman I'm familiar with Heterometeris. I've never kept one personally, but I have friends who do and they attest that they are notably more fierce than their Emporer cousins. P. Imperator is now protected? Really? That is good news for the scorps, but as far as not seeing them much any more.... they're already really well established in captivity and are pretty easy to breed. I suspect an export ban will cause a moderate decrease in the pet trade, but the prices will certainly rise.

  • @ubit397 What your going to see probably is more "captive bred" animals on the market, they may be a bit more expensive, but will probaly be in better health, and this is a good thing for the wild poulations.

  • @TheKraitman Agreed. It will better for the wild populations and better for the hobby as well.

  • @ubit397 acually they originated from asia and were brought to africa

  • @BocajBinLadin Is that right? Brought by whom? When did this happen? Where does one find reference to this claim?

  • @ubit397 its still debateing when it happend and you can look it up on wikipedia, google ,or watever and it says it

  • @BocajBinLadin LOL! Yeah..... ok.

  • why the hell do these people keep recommending heat mats???? whether its tarantulas or scorpions, expertvillage knows nothing. bloody waste of time watching these vids.

  • Scorpion: "ahh time to wake up and smell the fresh air!"

    *Walks outside*

    Scorpion: "AGGH IM DROWNING!!!"

  • I hav e two emperor scorpions

  • THERE NOT ASIAN THERE FROM AFRICA. EXPERTVILLAGE KNOWS NOTHING

  • man emporor scorpions are from africa and asia get it stright i been studing scorpions for 5 years and im only 14 and every thing he said is right

  • There not asia you dumb mother fuckers. There from africa!

  • They're native to africa, not asia what an idiot

  • @gunvor69 i know what a dumb ass. Expervilliage is allways wrong about everything

  • you should have a bigger cage...

  • just get a hamster.. basically the same except friendlier and dont wanna kill you if you accidently step on one >.<

  • @dragonangel6 What if someone doesn't want a furry little dude, who keeps you up at night because he's spinning around on his wheel? - And besides, if you're going to be STEPPING on it.. you shouldn't own one to begin with.

  • @BenJamming24 lol, ok mate, whatever, it can so easily happen, it could escape out of its cage somehow and you're wandering around your room not looking, anything can happen, and its called GETTING USED TO IT, fair enough, my hamster was loud, but if you really care about your pet enough, you'll get over the little things like that and get used to it, dick head

  • @dragonangel6 Haha, aww.. you called me a dick head, all because I made a point. Cute. - If you care for him correctly, and get locks for the cage, he should not escape. I've never had a pet of mine escape. And.. getting used to stepping on your pets? Sorry.. was that what you meant? Or were you referring to something else.

  • this video is pretty dumm all the writting is all over your video so we cant see you daa

  • @ron151963 press the red cc icon on the bottom right

  • r they very poisonous ?

  • @TheWheels101 emperors are like a bee sting

  • @TheWheels101 no emporors have no venom but if threatened it can feel like a pins gone into you, its the small light brown ones that kan harm you

  • Does any one know the best way to keep the temperature. thanks

  • I've heard from several places you're supposed to feed them every other day.

  • I like how this guy always says "him/he", like all scorpions are male.

    Derp.

  • I'm gonna get a Scorpion.

  • It look cramp it there

  • are you sure they are not supposed to eat every day during their juvenile lives a have found a few seperate sources saying that they are supposed to at least every other night

  • Can they eat superworms? I feed my bearded dragon them in bulk as a staple, so, it would be convenient :)

  • @moepippy superworms are high in fat soooo they wouldnt be a great base food for emps

  • My fat scorpion doenst kill with his sting, he farts the hell out of the crickets.

  • i seen ppl hold them, do they get mean easy where they will sting, and if they sting u will it hurt u alot,if they do couldnt u cut the very tip off,,,please reply,,,

  • @thethorn44 they are not going to stink you unless u make them go aggressive...if u want be more safe u can blunt the sting by rubbing something rough on it...dun cut it

  • can i ask sir?? is hottentotta hottentotta scorpion can kill a human?

i have one of it..its still 1 cm long..very young..

    thanks..

  • My Scorpion is small

  • does it matter what type of cricket you feed them or can u just feed them any type of cricket?

  • hey is sand ok for them? or they prefer moist dirt? do they need sunlight to bask ocassionally?

  • @AvengedTimes no sand is not good for them, these scorpions are from tropical areas, they like high humidity which sand cannot provide. i recommends eco earth, jungle bed, or Douglas fur bark.

  • is sand okay to use?

  • @funnyman540 no, the best substrate is coconut husk fiber such as eco earth, exo terra plantation soil, humus brick and most pet shops sell it. :)

  • does it sting???isnt it dangerous?

  • @ergrgf Its not lethal to humans. Its like a bee sting.

  • @Psyonexis i tought it could actualy kill u.

  • @ergrgf Yeh well some can but this one in the video isnt dangerus. It rather pinch you than sting acually. Out of around 1000 known species only 25 are leathal to humans.

  • wtf!! they arnt asian dumass there african

  • @Jack5458 He problably meant african

  • way too small asshole

  • I always thouqht they were AFRICAN.

  • Dude,

I know how to care for one...

With a great big shoe stomping on its scorpion ass!

I love the sound of crackle and squish.

    Bye Bye BUG

    Yeah, thats right...

  • >..> Mine i bought 2 weeks ago in a 10 gallon and it still hasn't ate one cricket

  • you like big enclosures? Asia? the tank is to small for an AFRICAN scorpion.

  • Emperor Scorpions (Pandinus imperator) is native to Africa, not ASIA!

  • Lol, obese scorpion. :)

  • @RinAikou lol

  • He was Flickinq us Off at 0:59..

  • this cage is small for this scorpion!

  • the only guy from expert village I like haha

  • I saw you video on Emperor Scorpion and I was wondering when you get them do they get the poison taken out of them? And can you get em in Canada? I'm trying to convince my mom to buy me one. But she things their really dangerous.

    Please awnser on my page.

  • @tronix333 well they are still have poison but a very very small amount.

  • @tronix333 OMG I'm tyring to concince my mom to get me a Scorpion too but she denies and thinks the same thing!

  • It's great to own a scorpion if you like them I suppose, but I could never own one. They scare me. If I did own one for some reason, I'd probably keep it in a locked room in case it would break out or something. I don't want to wake up with a scorpion staring me in the face like, "O HAI."

  • Pandinus imperator asian........dumbass

  • yes we asians like it most and humid

  • I so want a scorpion, but I got one question how do you handle it? I mean would it try to sting you if you get your hand near to the cage for the maintenance or for cleaning the cage?
