  • pusing on this "generate"? 5:22

  • Have no idea what you are asking. Thanks for viewing the vid.

  • Hope the info is of some benefit. Things I did not get to include in the vid:

    1. screw in the idle/mixture screw all the way on the throat(s) idling the car, one at a time, carb should not function and engine should die, if not, then there is excess air leaking into the carb

    2. spray WD40, carb cleaner, water, etc around the carb, intake, etc while car is idling; as car idles, spray will be drawn in where carb is leaking air, idle will change

  • 3. pull up on the carbs while car idles, if idle changes, you got a vacuum leak due to intake and/or carbs being loose

  • 6. if you cannot get the idle down below 1200, carbs are probably worn.

The Solex are fine when they are in perfect condition. When they get worn out, they will drive you crazy.

  • 4. push on the levers connected to the butterflies as the car idles, if idle changes need to find out why; worn butterflies or bores, linkage, etc

    5. if you adjust the carbs then drive the car and the adjustments have changed, then you have the usual worn out "self-adjusting" carbs and it is time for machinework.

  • Thanks for the video. I'll notice what you do and then I'll do the same to both of my carburator-Alfas :-)
