On Second thought, It sounds better to play rhythm with normal tuning. I think a 12 string was used for the rhythm. Not sure. However I think I am right on the SLIDE part. Looks like you need another player to take care of the slide part. It is really easy.
Thanks 4 the lesson. I can add, but no camcorder. For SLIDE GUITAR part, tune bottom 1st string to D. After first verse start slide between 5th and 7th frets, then 10th and 12th frets, then 12th and 14th frets for A. I noticed also you can cover the rhythm tuned (Drop D, 1st stg.) as well. For D chord, do not finger 1st string. For G chd, make G as normal except pinky covers 1st and 2nd stings 3rd fret. ( sounds like g7). For A chord, play as normal. I think you will like it. pls reply.
Just bring your hand back into the strumming position after you play the note and put your thumb and palm on top of the strings. Play with your hand more over the strings than near the top of the body.
appreciate your assistance :)

Thanks for sharring!
To make it different, try tuning the 1st and 6th strings in D (DADGBD). So you need to tweek the chords like this:
D = 1st string open (xx0230)
G (550000)
A (x02222)
