YOU ARE THE MAN. The break thing is great but now I can clear my joystick settings with one button instead of tediously clearing them one by one in game. I can clear my MAV joystick settings and so much more with this program. The in game UI is one of the most annoying things that brings this great game down and you've introduced me to a tool to fix it. Thank you.

Nice vid. One comment I would make - the L85A2 is one of only three assault rifles that give you fast movement when ADS. (F2000 and KH2002 being the others). This makes it great for a play style where you strafe in/out of cover to take shots. For this reason I quite like the L85 in some maps.

i like using the M16A3 or A4, because the canadian service rifle, the C7, is basically a more reliable version of the M16. needless to say, they look exactly the same. i also like to use a M145 scope on it, since it was desgined for the canadian army as well. and even then i'm not half as overpatriotic as the yankees.

L85A2 actually has a lot less side-to-side and vertical recoil than M16. With a foregrip, this gun essentially has no recoil at all. Besides, lower fire-rate might not be a bad thing after all, as long as you are accurate and good with headshots, it leaves you more bullets in the mag to deal with 2 to 3 enemies before reloading. The problem with FAMAS is that the fire-rate is too fast and if the guy you just killed has a teammate right behind him, you are very likely doomed.

it seems like the cp version of this game has alot more features tan the consoles, like the commands and the fact that it seems like all the guns have less recoil.

The SA-80, or L85 as we Americans like to call it, is a very good weapon in my opinion. It fires the same round as the M-16, is very accurate, and is kind of small. It also has a decent rate of fire.

The L85A2 is the new version, it actually works too :) its still what we use now in Afgan. You may have seen it, its got a rail system at the front? Well its like an upgraded version :) Just so you know.

@sacriel42 Your kinda wrong about the M16 dude, the main reasons the m16 was breaking down so much is :

1.The powder in the ammo made the barrel dirty

2. Troopers where told the rifles "space aged" designed meant that it didn't have to be cleaned, resulting jammed rifles

Nice one man, quick one- why do you use that particular scope? I find it strange that people tend to favour the Russian scopes on the non Russian weapons and the non Russian scopes on the Russian weapons. I understand the open sight picture but I find the whole 'big red dot' thing a bit useless personally, I much prefer the Holographic sight on just about everything.

I use the L85 without any scope attachments. Just the iron sights and grip and heavy barrel. Once you get used to the iron sights the recoil is not such an issue. It's by far my favorite rifle in the game. The Famas is for noobs. UK guns FTW.

Uh.. This gun may have more recoil on paper, but really it doesn't feel like it. I feels like it's got very low recoil actually, good long range weapon. You can fire it without bursting easily. The reason for this weapon being so calm is because it's got so low rate of fire. The best long range assault weapon imo, u can spray while having control.

Its ROT is actually 650rpm, not 600 and I think it has less recoil than any other AR, but it indeed is less manageable than M16's, but it has better iron sights (I don't really like optics) and you can move faster while aiming down sights with it. As an assault you always have the defi, the M320 replaces the first aid kit. I'm also pretty sure suppressors don't reduce gun's damage per bullet (thankfully it's not CoD).

The L85 actually has quite a bit less recoil than other ARs due to the center speed of 22.0, but you're right in that what recoil it does have is uneven.
