I say we give the kids a break. Even if they listen to Gaga, Spears or any other "modern" band - noboby can deny the link of modern bands to the groundbreaking superbands of the early 80's. The styles are astonishingly similiar and even the modern acts will admit their success was influenced by these retro bands. Its apparent in all the covers that are being put out nowadays.

I saw them live in 1985 in Seattle...my first real concert. They put on as good a show as the big names (Scorpions, Bon Jovi, Motley Crue etc) that I saw. I was 15 and LOVED this album, absolutely wore the cassette out. =)

80's had a lot of excellent music, true. But there is a lot of great bands today. However, they are usually local small town bands that never have a chance to make it big. I think that the 80's just gave all the small town boys a chance to make it to the top, which is impossible today with our pop trash corporations.
