I say we give the kids a break. Even if they listen to Gaga, Spears or any other "modern" band - noboby can deny the link of modern bands to the groundbreaking superbands of the early 80's. The styles are astonishingly similiar and even the modern acts will admit their success was influenced by these retro bands. Its apparent in all the covers that are being put out nowadays.
you do have to admit that todays music media has some pretty good artist but this here platinum blonde prism nazareth ozzy osbourne shit all the good old bands destroy todays shit this is actually dance worthy and i love to dance and it sucks that music like this died it actually depressing
It's good that some of the young generation are listening to this music but they don't need to be so proud about it. It's good that you are listening to it but there are way too many comments just shut up and listen to the damn music and enjoy it.
I saw them live in 1985 in Seattle...my first real concert. They put on as good a show as the big names (Scorpions, Bon Jovi, Motley Crue etc) that I saw. I was 15 and LOVED this album, absolutely wore the cassette out. =)
I just found this band out, I'm so glad I did! I'd much rather listen to this than Justin beaver, 12 years of existence and I love music that's beyond my time :)
This was what I used to call my homework music, where i'd do my homework with the radio on and great music like this would play. Sadly todays music would be more a distraction than a relaxation.
Well old music is just as good as the stuff now. Why judge. like it or not its music. and these songs r good. real good to keep on to the stuff from longbefore
The "Guitar Dude" is Sergio Galli. I remeber these guys playing the Palace in Halifax back in the late 80's. Someone threw a Beer Bottle onstage and clocked Mark Holmes.
i love the 80s music its got that special sound that never goes away or anybody today can not top i think i would rather live in the 80s than today i even wear clothes that they did back in the 80s ROCK ON!!!!!!!!!!!
80's had a lot of excellent music, true. But there is a lot of great bands today. However, they are usually local small town bands that never have a chance to make it big. I think that the 80's just gave all the small town boys a chance to make it to the top, which is impossible today with our pop trash corporations.
It's an even longer way to the top now if ya wanna rock and roll.
excuse me? you have to be an idiot, yeah mainstream music sucks but theres alot of kids out there who appreciate good music, myself for instance, its different taste, so go stick your comment up your own ass. Idiot!
@Brandino199 I'll reapeat it again dick head: "I'm talking about the MAJORITY here. The MAJORITY of kids nowadays wouldn't know good music if it smacked them between the eyes."
@bllpg9 get a guitar, start a band. just do it. it's influences from the past that create rad music for the future. Do it man, it's not hard, you don't need to know how to play, just keep at it and it will sort itself out. go man go!
to bad bands dont sound like this anymore honestly its full of potential talent and a beautifull sound now music is non talented and very bad no feeling
Awesome! I didn't even know Situation Critical was theirs. It could be that I've only heard their singles. It's funny, now that I'm older, I find their lyrics kind of sounds like he had bad relationships or issues with women though. That's right, I don't care if this gets 25 thumbs down, I said it!!
So depressing to hear Kenny Maclean, their bass player died... OK who recognizes this 80s song. it's a classic.
the music is sort of New Wave. the beginning is slow then it gets faster toward the chorus.
"... You said you were going to Hollywood to be a star-ar" (or something like that)"
then the
CHORUS:
"suite suite 99
livin' till the early time"
the singer kinda sounds like Platinum Blonde-style but it's not them.
They're probably one-hit-wonder
