chris de burgh really is a singer for the people ,he has a song for each situation ,he reaches your heart amazing really ,gives emotion ,i love his songs and he is the singer that i ve been listenning to since i was a kid , great great .
i love his music,strong stuff,and each stories is colourful and different,either patricia the stripper,the spanish train,or of course just another poor boy which saddens me

Yes it is about Jesus and Mary Magdalene. (Chris' version of events. It's probably like his song Crusader which he himself has said is not historically accurate but another cracking yarn from the master storyteller.
I totally agree with you. CdeB is the best "storyman" in the music industry. check out the storyman cd if you get a chance -it is absolutely brilliant!!
If ever there was a well written song with immensely brilliant lyrice, this is it. No-one can dispute the genius of this man's musicality. He has something that other artists lack, ie the ability to move and thrill in equal measures. Some artists have good music but lyrics that let them down and vice versa. Chris de Burgh is the ultimate songster and story-teller.
