The Ducks turned into what I thought was going to be a sweep, into a decent series. Losing in 6 games isn't too bad. Its better than being swept like the sens, haha.
FYI-Giguere's pads are completely legal. Like every goalies pads they have been checked and cleared on numerous random checks. On hockey night in Canada during a segment on goalie pads a goalie coach in the QMJHL said he examined Giguere's pads and said they are legal. Some people believe Giguere tucks his shoulder pads into his pants so that when he goes into his butterfly stance his pads move up which, is completely legal.
There's a reason the NHL changed the goalie pad rule the very next season. Because of Giguere's fat ass. They took a picture of Giguere and Broduer of the hand shake and Giguere looked twice his size despite being the same height and roughly the same weight. Goalies are still cheating despite what the rules say. There is not enough scoring because of the size of the damn pads they were. I don't care if it is within the NHL requirements. Goalies pads are way to big.

I really like the ducks in 2003 because i did not even expect that they will sweep the red wings that year. I was shocked that the ducks beat dallas and sweeping minnesota to make it to the stanley cup finals. i did not expect giguere to play so well and beat dallas, detroit, and minnesota.

That's old time hockey . . .it's gone. That's the way the Canucks would like it played but since Europeans joined the ranks, it's more skill and finesse. If you want to watch fighting or boxing - go watch it. I want to see skating up the ice, 100 mph rockets flying at the net - not at faces. And BTW I'm mensa society so yes, I'm very bright. wait you said ovechkin can score 60 goals and set up his players. besides passing to a point on the powerplay, when does he ever set the puck up to anyone.he had like 50 assists this year and im willing to bet half of them were rebounds on the absurd amount of shots he takes. i bet there would be a lot more 50 goal scorers if more people decided that they should be the only one scoring and take 12 shots a game... malkin and sid both had shooting percentages 2 points higher, with way less goals.

Crosby is the guy who can do ANYTHING on the ice (except fight) and Ovechkin is the 60 goal scorer who can set up his players as well as get physical with anyone. Iggy is one of the best in the league, but hes not as good as Crosby or Ovechkin.

FYI-Giguere's pads are completely legal. Like every goalies pads they have been checked and cleared on numerous random checks. On hockey night in Canada during a segment on goalie pads a goalie coach in the QMJHL said he examined Giguere's pads and said they are legal. Some people believe Giguere tucks his shoulder pads into his pants so that when he goes into his butterfly stance his pads move up which, is completely legal.

There's a reason the NHL changed the goalie pad rule the very next season. Because of Giguere's fat ass. They took a picture of Giguere and Broduer of the hand shake and Giguere looked twice his size despite being the same height and roughly the same weight. Goalies are still cheating despite what the rules say. There is not enough scoring because of the size of the damn pads they were. I don't care if it is within the NHL requirements. Goalies pads are way to big.

Real Duck fans know that the Samueli's are the BEST thing to ever happen to this team. They brought in a great front office, who made it possible for us to build a winning team and shed the Disney stigma, and because of it we won the cup.
Whatever you think about the logos is one thing, but don't diss the NHL's best new owners.

I really like the ducks in 2003 because i did not even expect that they will sweep the red wings that year. I was shocked that the ducks beat dallas and sweeping minnesota to make it to the stanley cup finals. i did not expect giguere to play so well and beat dallas, detroit, and minnesota.
