Patti Russo is the best thing that happened to Meatloaf after Jim Steinman. She carries the whole show these days. Compared to some of the other backing singers he had screeching away over the years, she's stunning. Just a shame that he's never really sung Dead Ringer well live. Not sure why, but I've heard some pretty awful versions. And he usually sings it flat; even when he could sing.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that Patti does this song better than Cher... not to take anything away from Cher's singing before many nose jobs killed her voice, but Patti is just THAT GOOD.
