I'd say cut slits and tie on either the top or bottom of the sleeves so they look less baggy and look like they belong with the shirt. This was a trend a few years ago in my school when they did theses with the school shirts.

okay, awesome idea: do the same side stuff, but instead of leaving the the sleeves, cut them into three slits and braid them. Wahoo! Make the shirt look even cuter!
