@XFiles1993 As someone with Aspergers, I kind of agree with @Gweagraff. Bert was created years ago, so it's possible they based his character around a lesser formed establishment of what Aspergers is defined as today. Besides, he does love paper clips, oatmeal, and pigeons, as well. So it's not confined to rocks, or 'rock', It's his pet! He only likes that one! He doesn't seem comfortable around a lot of other people and barely tolerates Ernie! Reminds me a lot of myself and my brother, really.
