in homestead, the shifter hits about 82 mph... mine i don't know, i dont really know any one in my class with a speedometer in there mycrom..... i would say 75-78mph??? maybe???
75-80 ide say because thats a long straight away and t the track i race at i can get up to around 70-75 and that straight away looks longer so 75 to 80 is right (it depends on your gear ratio to)
It all depends upon how the kart is geared for a particular track. But on most tracks,a 125 CC shifter will hit speeds of about 80 MPH on short straightaways and around 100 MPH on longer straightaways. Don't worry, a shifter is plenty fast. You have to have advanced driving skills to drive a shifter kart. You don't start karting in a shifter kart!
