The ignition switch was flipped by an RC servo.
The nose cone was ordered from Aerotech rockets, it's molded plastic.

at the metro launch in ny my parachute came off the rocket and started to drift higher and farther

Nice dude.I build a 7Ft rocket out of PVC. It will be powered by KNo3/sucrose Dr Rocket 38 480 Motor.
Ill post a video when i launch it
