poor horse :( and they arent athletes :/ im an athlete, i chose to train myself, forcing something to work for you doesnt make it an athlete, and they dont have the best lives, my horses are treated a hundred times better than this, a warm barn, 24 hours a day in the pasture, they are brushed constantly and get massages, these horses dont get a pasture, and they definitely dont look brushed. @gEtoVer1T1 I agree, Rodeos ARE CRUEL! It's to stay on and make a good ride. Imbecile.
@Alexandros1294 so let me the imbecile get this straight...your calling me an imbecile while you enjoy watching a video of a man getting hurt while he is riding a horse that is obviously not enjoying himself...sorry but i think you need to get a life!
@iluvnaz No, I don't enjoy watching people get hurt. All horses fall down occasionally. Get over it. It's not like the horse was hurting. Bucking horses love what they do, otherwise they wouldn't be so consistent with it. A scared horse runs, it doesn't buck.
@iluvnaz Get MY facts right? Sorry, but I'm the one with actual experience in rodeo. You've never been around a bronc in your life! So I'm the one who should be getting facts right? Seriously, I love horses. I wouldn't do anything to hurt one. If rodeo was cruel to horses, I wouldn't compete in it. By the way, I'm the one using words in the right context, using correct punctuation, and keeping everything in perfect syntax, so you're the one who should be retaking English courses.
@iluvnaz Stock isn't a bad thing to call these horses. They are stock. That doesn't mean I don't care for them. Besides, I don't own the bucking horses. They are bucking stock. I fail to see your argument here.
@nuzjunkie1 Again, livestock is different from stock. Livestock are animals that are cared for and loved just like your pet is. But since there's so many of them and they are used for a business, they are called livestock. Get a grip.
the horse is OK it doesnt hurt them at all yall just chill lol we should be more worried bout the rider that will next rodeo come around get on another bron
I dont like how ppl who know ABSOLUTLEY NOTHING about horses decide what is and isnt good for them! Though sometimes there are certain bad situations. The rodeo is definatley not what i would call abuse, those horses love what they do.
I don't feel bad for these people at all. Look what they do to these poor horse. Yea you say it's a "sport" then do it si they don't get hurt you shit holes.
see that just provs one thing that cowboys arnt always that great at sitting a buck...why because they are fucking tied down i can sit bucks rears ext and im not tied down .....and im not abusive to my hjorses or treat them like shit or tazer them..
"They want to take the horse out of the active mode". FORCED would be a better term. And so it is the bucking strap that makes this event happen, a horse running around, out of control, with an idiot hangin' on. Notice how they got the moron out of it first, then the horse. The animal's safety is put below the inbreds that run this show. Another rodeo LIE exposed. And the abuser got some just dessert for being one.
Have you actually ridden a well-broke, well-trained horse? I guess not. Rodeo killed horsemanship a long time ago,. Every one of your horses has fallen down? Wow, if I were you, I wouldn't admit that so freely. Pathetic, the excuses y'all come up with. Seems to me the "stubbornness" so many of you explain as the reason behind all this crappy handling, is a direct result of the crappy handling. Ever heard of Xenephon? Didn't think so.
@AnimalLeftist Yes, I have ridden a well broke and well trained horse. In fact, I have trained many to be like that. Yes, I have heard of Xenophon. Notice how that's spelled. XENOPHON. He was an excellent general and an excellent horse trainer. However, even he used force and discipline to train his horses. These horses don't get disciplined or forced to do anything. They are allowed to follow their instincts. You are so ignorant, it's not even funny.
@Alexandros1294, my comment wasn't directed at you. I spelled ONE word wrong. I know how to spell it, thanks for the correction. I work for a living, you see. Fingers get tired. Force and discipline were not the main tenents of his philosophy. That still doesn't change the fact that horses are falling down, and it seems to happens aLOT. Gee, wonder why? Your ignorance is only surpassed by your powerful programming. XenOphon would be rolling in his grave, watching "broncs" aka pissed off equids.
@birdman1114 We don't shoot the horse because we kinda like these animals. You're a fucking prick. The injured animals are treated by professionals and veterinarians. The animal's safety is put above our own in this sport. Quit being such a twat. I doubt you would have the courage to do any extreme sport, let alone rodeo.
@Alexandros1294 , "extreme sports" use willing, signed on participants. I think that horse forgot to sign the contract. Y'all use the horse for your entertainment. You don't give a shit about that horse, so stop lying, m'kay? Great bronc, btw. Jump out, fall down. Obviously the horse just LOVES his "job". Too bad you guys are so blind to what you do.
@AnimalLeftist The horse is incapable of signing a contract. However, you can't make a horse do something it doesn't want to do. It just doesn't happen. Have you ever tried forcing an issue with a stubborn animal that ways 1200 pounds on average? It doesn't work. Like in all sports, accidents happen. Yes, that horse fell down. That happens sometimes. I highly doubt they sent this horse to slaughter. Every horse I've ever been on has fallen down at some point.
@Alexandros1294 Horses do what we want out of TRUST. Obviously they don't realise the implications or possible consequences of what they are doing, they are TRUSTING the humans by obeying them. We, as humans have the ability to predict consequences and we have no right putting a TRUSTING, faithful equine companion in harms way FOR OUR ENTERTAINMENT!
@longtailrat Well obviously they wouldn't calmy walk into their chutes for every damn rodeo if they didn't trust us. They know what their job is, and once the gate opens, they do it, and everyone goes on their way. They love what they do, and they are good at it. What else can they be used for? Most of these horses were ones that nobody had the time or desire to work with, so we use them and let them do what their instincts tell them to. They're not in harms way.
@Alexandros1294 That has got to be one of the sweetest excuses I have heard for abuse in a long time. Still, an EPIC FAIL. Especially at the end "They're not in harms way." Tell us where a horse, bucking out of control, which is ALL OF THEM, is headed? And remember, how rodeo is responsible for the safety of the animals. What a CROCK, but go ahead and try that one again.
@standingatthedoor They don't "buck out of control." Most horses have a pretty set pattern they go through. Those horses are usually headed back to the stock contractor's ranch and on to the next rodeo. Just because a horse is bucking doesn't mean it's afraid or fighting someone. You're an idiot. And yes, we are responsible for taking care of these animals. I don't see you waking up early in the morning to feed them, work with them, train them, and travel with them.
@Alexandros1294, would you quit with the BS, puhleeeze. "no horse is expendable." BY YOUR OWN admission, if they Don't want to play, you meat them. Real horse lover you are. NOT. Why not RIDE them? 'Cause the girls LOVE a bronc-rider. Not a REAL RIDER. Bah. never mind. You'll continue your stupid ways, and horses will continue their happy dappy trip to slaughter-land. Ride 'em, cowboy? Meat 'em, asshole.
@AnimalLeftist I didn't say they all go to slaughter. A lot of contractors aren't that callouse. However, I would be lying if I said all of them weren't slaughtered. I was being honest. Some do go to slaughter, others go to be trained for something else. Bronc riders are real riders. They can weather any storm on a horse.
@AnimalLeftist its ignorant people like yourself that made a worse off fate for the so called horses you love so much. Same amount getting sent to slaughter, now they just have to sit on a trailer ten times longer and get killed in Mexico with absolutely no regulations. Good job there- way to "save" the horses!
@bigskyequine, is English a second language for you? "so-called horses"? WTF else do you call them? Oh, right. Culls that we can have fun tormenting, before we send 'em off to slaughter. I am not against slaughter. I am for humane treatment of all animals. Try another argument.
@bigskyequine these buckin stock have the best lives, look how well fed they are, look at their feet, they're in great condition. They are athletes. this honestly sounds better than slaughter if you ask me. and these horses are strategically bred to become the best buckers they can be.
@GoldEyedNickCLover I think you missed my point to the leftist ignorant prick. I know how great of lives they have as I have been involved in rodeo my whole life and have stock contractor friends and family that work for them and take bulls and horses to the NFR each year. I was pointing out how he is one of the save the horses from slaughter people that have made it ten times worse for horses and their fates.
@Alexandros1294 , like the horse that flipped over in the chute, at your first "real" bronc ride? yeah, they are "willing. If they weren't they wouldn't be so calm in the chute." Yeah, uh, huh. Dream on, horse tormentor..
@Alexandros1294 Just watched a video "2nd horse injured, 2011 Cheyenne Rodeo" You tell me how the animals safety is "put above our own" in this video...they gallop a CLEARLY injured horse around and then laugh at him when he falls again and sits down! And there are MANY more examples of this type of "caring" for the animals in countless other rodeo videos. btw, video does not lie so don't cry propaganda. Can't you entertain yourself without involving innocent animals?
@longtailrat What the audience does, does not reflect what the contestants and the stock contractors do. Btw, you can't GALLOP an injured horse! If a horse is injured, it doesn't move. Horses fall down occasionally. People do too. I don't hurt these animals in anyway. I respect and love them. They're what allow me to do what I love to do, and it's in everyone's best interest to take good care of them.
@Alexandros1294, OMG, sorry, I couldn't let this slip. "Btw, you can't GALLOP an injured horse!" If a horse is injured, it doesn't move?? Ever watched horses EVER?? good grief, you are one scary kid. Your stupidity is showing, child. You really, really, REALLY need to buy a clue. Or a decade. That might help. No need to answer, I'll just delete it.
Funny... My horse had no problem galloping around with me when she was lame last week (I didn't realize till I got home, and I felt like an asshole for it - she's fine now tho). If a horse shows weakness, it is ostricized from the herd - therefore, a horse will go to great lengths to hide pain/injury. When a horse lames, it should always be taken seriously, even if it gallops, bucks or whatever.
@Shadowpolish Well I've seen plenty of lame horses in my life, and they could not gallop and could barely walk. A lame horse doesn't gallop without problems. These bucking horses are treated very well. They get the best veterinary care because they cost a lot of money, and a talented bucking horse is hard to replace.
@Alexandros1294, not surprised you've seen plenty of lame ones. Gotta go through a whole lot of culling to get to that super-dooper expensive bronc. But in your short life, you ain't seen nothin', yet. How pathetic. How cruel, how sad.
@AnimalLeftist Actually, none of the lame horses I've seen were broncs. They were mostly used for competitive trail riding and Dressage. You're the pathetic one.
@Alexandros1294, LOL:) snork.. sorry. Did ya flank 'em up to see if the joys of bronc-riding would "cure" them? Pretty sure you wouldn't know a real dressage horse even if he bucked you off. (As would be the case for many of the yahoos pretending to be riders today.) So, y'all jog 'em up for soundness before the chute opens?? roflmao!! Just for the record, exceptionally crappy riding is the normal in many disciplines now. Haven't you heard? The cause?Rodayo. Why?Broncs. YeeHaw.
@Alexandros1294, I knew that:) I'm Wayne Gretzky, and I'm singlehandedly responsible for the terrible treatment of meathorses in the USA, check out the top comment. WOW, amazing how an old broad from Canada can wield such power. Funny, because I am not against humane slaughter of food animals. We have horse slaughter in this country of mine, and we have as many problems with animal neglect and abuse as the USA!! Cruelty begins with an attitude. Time for a change, don't you think?
hope the horse got a good home afterwards... or did the people get mad and blame it on the horse and send him off to slaughter!? THIS IS A CRUEL SPORT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@siarrahbabey14 Neither. The horse was fine, and was used again. Everyone gets hung up and injured occasionally. Horses aren't retired because someone gets hurt. The animals are treated like royalty, you dip shit. You're cruel because of your fucking ignorance.
@standingatthedoor Are you kidding? How do you think rodeo makes it's money? An animal that is abused and tormented doesn't perform well, so it's in our best interest to take good care of them, and it's our responsibility to. The vets that are on call at rodeos are some of the best. Look it up. They're not butchers, nor are they slobs. I've seen them do amazing things to save these animals when accidents happen. The stock contractors treat their animals great, no matter what rodeo they're in.
@Alexandros1294 Rodeo makes money off the suffering of the animals with the support of rodeo folk that pay to watch it. Abuse and torment is the only way you can get the critter to perform. Why are the injured ones never heard of again? Rodeo can't even look after itself, let alone an animal, or participant. And I have seen how stock contractors treat their animals, sending them to a pending doom, so folks like you can have a 'good time', and maybe some winnings, soiled with the animal's blood.
@standingatthedoor An abused and tormented animal doesn't perform. Most of the time those horses are really calm in the chute and will wait patiently while you get ready to ride. That is not the way an abused or tormented horse acts. You haven't seen how stock contractors treat the animals, clearly. You know nothing about the sport, but talk out your ass and pretend to have all of this knowledge, and you think you're being some moral crusader. However, these horses are treated just fine.
@standingatthedoor The famous Grated Coconut from the Calgary String had a gold plated halter that they would lead that horse around with. Not to mention when they retired her, she just went back to a pasture to eat and graze all day. They still breed colts out of her, but she lives a life of luxury. These horses only have to work 8 seconds at each rodeo, and when they travel, they have to be let out to stretch out a bit every couple of hours. Then they eat on a pasture.
@Alexandros1294 The horses are worked until they drop. And if they get to the pasture you talk about, they'll be pushing up daisies, cause nobody from rodeo is going to keep a horse that does not perform. NO MONEY IN THERE. The animals are totally expendable. Rodeo proves that all the time now.
@standingatthedoor Well there's no money in an injured or dead horse either is there? It's in everyone's best interests to keep the horses in their very best shape. Otherwise they can't perform. They see the pasture of their contractor's ranch after every rodeo dumbass, and they're not just pushing up daisies. They're well fed, and the grass is very green, and there's not shortage of it. Nor is there any shortage of alfalfa for them to eat. They get very high quality feed.
@standingatthedoor If these horses were expendable, they wouldn't sell proven bucking horses for hundreds of thousands of dollars just to get more horses out of them in hopes that they will want to buck. Not every horse will buck the way one in a rodeo does, and not every horse wants to perform in a rodeo. Some horses are bred to run, some are bred to give milk, some are bred to sort cows, and just like these scenarios, there are horses that are bred to buck, and no horse is expendable.
@standingatthedoor Go check out any stock contractor's ranch and prove me wrong. Horses fall down occasionally. People fall down occasionally too. Does that make Track and Field a child abusing sport? No, it means that accidents happen. Injuries happen in every sport. Get over it. These horses are taken care of very well, and they are trained and bred to do what they do, and they love it.
@Alexandros1294 Rodeo is NOT A SPORT. The animals are not willing participants. They didn't agree to the rules, which are nothing more than PR for the gullible public. Another stupid 'accident' is going to take place, its just a matter of time, and sooner than you think. Tell us how the horses of Cheyenne love breaking their bodies for you, and where they went.
@standingatthedoor The animals are willing. If they weren't they wouldn't be so calm in the chute. Occasionally some will get excited and want to get out and buck early, so they'll fight around a bit. I would imagine Ike Sankey and all of the other contractors at Cheyenne would love to tell you how their horses are now. Not very many of them were injured at all this year. You're a pathetic, ignorant, loser.
@iluvnaz meh i'm used to it, i get idiots arguing on here with me all the time lol but i am very strongly opinionated so they can argue with me all they like lol doesn't change the fact that they must be idiots to not see the cruelty here, just ignore them or be rude back, usually works ;)
@iluvnaz Here's an idea. This is going to sound so crazy. You don't like rodeo yeah? So how about... ok here's the kicker, YOU DON'T WATCH VIDEOS OF IT SINCE YOU HATE IT SO MUCH! Wow, I mean, that is kind of a radical solution to your problem, but oh man, I think it would work!
@iluvnaz Pretty much. I hate it when people who know nothing, act like they know everything about a subject they're talking about. It really isn't that hard to do research and get facts.
@PotterYouRotter7 the horse was fine - . - its not a cruel sport. the horse just lost his balance. if your going to choose a victim, the victim is the cowboy. he's just riding out whats given to him. its not his fault the horse fell over on itself.
We learned today, that when he hit the ground, he actually passed out for a short time and he did get hurt, but we didn't hear the extent of his injuries.
No I don't think they have a justified reason to be doing this at all...I mean what's the point, just running it into the ground and stressing it out, making it distrust people even more...
OMG...is the bronc ok?

By the way, I'm the one using words in the right context, using correct punctuation, and keeping everything in perfect syntax, so you're the one who should be retaking English courses.

@Alexandros1294 if u cared for horses tat much you wouldn't call them stock as if they are a bunch of litter!
iluvnaz 1 month ago
@iluvnaz Stock isn't a bad thing to call these horses. They are stock. That doesn't mean I don't care for them. Besides, I don't own the bucking horses. They are bucking stock. I fail to see your argument here.

@nuzjunkie1 Again, livestock is different from stock. Livestock are animals that are cared for and loved just like your pet is. But since there's so many of them and they are used for a business, they are called livestock. Get a grip.

AnimalLeftist 6 months ago
@AnimalLeftist Yes, I have ridden a well broke and well trained horse. In fact, I have trained many to be like that. Yes, I have heard of Xenophon. Notice how that's spelled. XENOPHON. He was an excellent general and an excellent horse trainer. However, even he used force and discipline to train his horses. These horses don't get disciplined or forced to do anything. They are allowed to follow their instincts. You are so ignorant, it's not even funny.
Alexandros1294 5 months ago
@Alexandros1294, my comment wasn't directed at you. I spelled ONE word wrong. I know how to spell it, thanks for the correction. I work for a living, you see. Fingers get tired. Force and discipline were not the main tenents of his philosophy. That still doesn't change the fact that horses are falling down, and it seems to happens aLOT. Gee, wonder why? Your ignorance is only surpassed by your powerful programming. XenOphon would be rolling in his grave, watching "broncs" aka pissed off equids.
AnimalLeftist 5 months ago
@birdman1114 We don't shoot the horse because we kinda like these animals. You're a fucking prick. The injured animals are treated by professionals and veterinarians. The animal's safety is put above our own in this sport. Quit being such a twat. I doubt you would have the courage to do any extreme sport, let alone rodeo.
Alexandros1294 6 months ago
@Alexandros1294 , "extreme sports" use willing, signed on participants. I think that horse forgot to sign the contract. Y'all use the horse for your entertainment. You don't give a shit about that horse, so stop lying, m'kay? Great bronc, btw. Jump out, fall down. Obviously the horse just LOVES his "job". Too bad you guys are so blind to what you do.
AnimalLeftist 6 months ago
@AnimalLeftist The horse is incapable of signing a contract. However, you can't make a horse do something it doesn't want to do. It just doesn't happen. Have you ever tried forcing an issue with a stubborn animal that ways 1200 pounds on average? It doesn't work. Like in all sports, accidents happen. Yes, that horse fell down. That happens sometimes. I highly doubt they sent this horse to slaughter. Every horse I've ever been on has fallen down at some point.
Alexandros1294 6 months ago
@Alexandros1294 Horses do what we want out of TRUST. Obviously they don't realise the implications or possible consequences of what they are doing, they are TRUSTING the humans by obeying them. We, as humans have the ability to predict consequences and we have no right putting a TRUSTING, faithful equine companion in harms way FOR OUR ENTERTAINMENT!
longtailrat 5 months ago
@longtailrat Well obviously they wouldn't calmy walk into their chutes for every damn rodeo if they didn't trust us. They know what their job is, and once the gate opens, they do it, and everyone goes on their way. They love what they do, and they are good at it. What else can they be used for? Most of these horses were ones that nobody had the time or desire to work with, so we use them and let them do what their instincts tell them to. They're not in harms way.
Alexandros1294 5 months ago
@Alexandros1294 That has got to be one of the sweetest excuses I have heard for abuse in a long time. Still, an EPIC FAIL. Especially at the end "They're not in harms way." Tell us where a horse, bucking out of control, which is ALL OF THEM, is headed? And remember, how rodeo is responsible for the safety of the animals. What a CROCK, but go ahead and try that one again.
standingatthedoor 5 months ago
@standingatthedoor They don't "buck out of control." Most horses have a pretty set pattern they go through. Those horses are usually headed back to the stock contractor's ranch and on to the next rodeo. Just because a horse is bucking doesn't mean it's afraid or fighting someone. You're an idiot. And yes, we are responsible for taking care of these animals. I don't see you waking up early in the morning to feed them, work with them, train them, and travel with them.
Alexandros1294 5 months ago
@Alexandros1294, would you quit with the BS, puhleeeze. "no horse is expendable." BY YOUR OWN admission, if they Don't want to play, you meat them. Real horse lover you are. NOT. Why not RIDE them? 'Cause the girls LOVE a bronc-rider. Not a REAL RIDER. Bah. never mind. You'll continue your stupid ways, and horses will continue their happy dappy trip to slaughter-land. Ride 'em, cowboy? Meat 'em, asshole.
AnimalLeftist 5 months ago
@AnimalLeftist I didn't say they all go to slaughter. A lot of contractors aren't that callouse. However, I would be lying if I said all of them weren't slaughtered. I was being honest. Some do go to slaughter, others go to be trained for something else. Bronc riders are real riders. They can weather any storm on a horse.
Alexandros1294 5 months ago
@AnimalLeftist its ignorant people like yourself that made a worse off fate for the so called horses you love so much. Same amount getting sent to slaughter, now they just have to sit on a trailer ten times longer and get killed in Mexico with absolutely no regulations. Good job there- way to "save" the horses!
bigskyequine 4 months ago 4
@bigskyequine, is English a second language for you? "so-called horses"? WTF else do you call them? Oh, right. Culls that we can have fun tormenting, before we send 'em off to slaughter. I am not against slaughter. I am for humane treatment of all animals. Try another argument.
AnimalLeftist 2 months ago
@bigskyequine these buckin stock have the best lives, look how well fed they are, look at their feet, they're in great condition. They are athletes. this honestly sounds better than slaughter if you ask me. and these horses are strategically bred to become the best buckers they can be.
GoldEyedNickCLover 2 weeks ago
@GoldEyedNickCLover I think you missed my point to the leftist ignorant prick. I know how great of lives they have as I have been involved in rodeo my whole life and have stock contractor friends and family that work for them and take bulls and horses to the NFR each year. I was pointing out how he is one of the save the horses from slaughter people that have made it ten times worse for horses and their fates.
bigskyequine 1 week ago
@Alexandros1294 , like the horse that flipped over in the chute, at your first "real" bronc ride? yeah, they are "willing. If they weren't they wouldn't be so calm in the chute." Yeah, uh, huh. Dream on, horse tormentor..
AnimalLeftist 5 months ago
@Alexandros1294 Just watched a video "2nd horse injured, 2011 Cheyenne Rodeo" You tell me how the animals safety is "put above our own" in this video...they gallop a CLEARLY injured horse around and then laugh at him when he falls again and sits down! And there are MANY more examples of this type of "caring" for the animals in countless other rodeo videos. btw, video does not lie so don't cry propaganda. Can't you entertain yourself without involving innocent animals?
longtailrat 5 months ago
@longtailrat What the audience does, does not reflect what the contestants and the stock contractors do. Btw, you can't GALLOP an injured horse! If a horse is injured, it doesn't move. Horses fall down occasionally. People do too. I don't hurt these animals in anyway. I respect and love them. They're what allow me to do what I love to do, and it's in everyone's best interest to take good care of them.
Alexandros1294 5 months ago
@Alexandros1294, OMG, sorry, I couldn't let this slip. "Btw, you can't GALLOP an injured horse!" If a horse is injured, it doesn't move?? Ever watched horses EVER?? good grief, you are one scary kid. Your stupidity is showing, child. You really, really, REALLY need to buy a clue. Or a decade. That might help. No need to answer, I'll just delete it.
AnimalLeftist 1 month ago
@AnimalLeftist Have you ever tried doing anything with an injured or a lame horse? They don't want to do anything, much less buck. Duh.
Alexandros1294 1 month ago
@Alexandros1294
Shadowpolish 1 month ago
@Shadowpolish Well I've seen plenty of lame horses in my life, and they could not gallop and could barely walk. A lame horse doesn't gallop without problems. These bucking horses are treated very well. They get the best veterinary care because they cost a lot of money, and a talented bucking horse is hard to replace.
Alexandros1294 4 weeks ago
@Alexandros1294, not surprised you've seen plenty of lame ones. Gotta go through a whole lot of culling to get to that super-dooper expensive bronc. But in your short life, you ain't seen nothin', yet. How pathetic. How cruel, how sad.
Bronc-riding = horsemanshit for the clueless.
AnimalLeftist 4 weeks ago
@AnimalLeftist Actually, none of the lame horses I've seen were broncs. They were mostly used for competitive trail riding and Dressage. You're the pathetic one.
Alexandros1294 4 weeks ago
@Alexandros1294, LOL:) snork.. sorry. Did ya flank 'em up to see if the joys of bronc-riding would "cure" them? Pretty sure you wouldn't know a real dressage horse even if he bucked you off. (As would be the case for many of the yahoos pretending to be riders today.) So, y'all jog 'em up for soundness before the chute opens?? roflmao!! Just for the record, exceptionally crappy riding is the normal in many disciplines now. Haven't you heard? The cause?Rodayo. Why?Broncs. YeeHaw.

siarrahbabey14 6 months ago
@siarrahbabey14 Neither. The horse was fine, and was used again. Everyone gets hung up and injured occasionally. Horses aren't retired because someone gets hurt. The animals are treated like royalty, you dip shit. You're cruel because of your fucking ignorance.
Alexandros1294 6 months ago
@Alexandros1294 "The horse was fine, and was used again". Thats because it could still walk on four legs.
"The animal's safety is put above our own in this sport." Never, in a million rodeos, will neither of this happen.
"The injured animals are treated by professionals and veterinarians." Professional butchers and slob PR vets.
"The animals are treated like royalty" Like Cheyenne treats theirs? Defend that one, animal abuser.
standingatthedoor 5 months ago
@standingatthedoor Are you kidding? How do you think rodeo makes it's money? An animal that is abused and tormented doesn't perform well, so it's in our best interest to take good care of them, and it's our responsibility to. The vets that are on call at rodeos are some of the best. Look it up. They're not butchers, nor are they slobs. I've seen them do amazing things to save these animals when accidents happen. The stock contractors treat their animals great, no matter what rodeo they're in.
Alexandros1294 5 months ago
@Alexandros1294 Rodeo makes money off the suffering of the animals with the support of rodeo folk that pay to watch it. Abuse and torment is the only way you can get the critter to perform. Why are the injured ones never heard of again? Rodeo can't even look after itself, let alone an animal, or participant. And I have seen how stock contractors treat their animals, sending them to a pending doom, so folks like you can have a 'good time', and maybe some winnings, soiled with the animal's blood.
standingatthedoor 5 months ago
@standingatthedoor An abused and tormented animal doesn't perform. Most of the time those horses are really calm in the chute and will wait patiently while you get ready to ride. That is not the way an abused or tormented horse acts. You haven't seen how stock contractors treat the animals, clearly. You know nothing about the sport, but talk out your ass and pretend to have all of this knowledge, and you think you're being some moral crusader. However, these horses are treated just fine.
Alexandros1294 5 months ago
@standingatthedoor The famous Grated Coconut from the Calgary String had a gold plated halter that they would lead that horse around with. Not to mention when they retired her, she just went back to a pasture to eat and graze all day. They still breed colts out of her, but she lives a life of luxury. These horses only have to work 8 seconds at each rodeo, and when they travel, they have to be let out to stretch out a bit every couple of hours. Then they eat on a pasture.
Alexandros1294 5 months ago
@Alexandros1294 The horses are worked until they drop. And if they get to the pasture you talk about, they'll be pushing up daisies, cause nobody from rodeo is going to keep a horse that does not perform. NO MONEY IN THERE. The animals are totally expendable. Rodeo proves that all the time now.
standingatthedoor 5 months ago
@standingatthedoor Well there's no money in an injured or dead horse either is there? It's in everyone's best interests to keep the horses in their very best shape. Otherwise they can't perform. They see the pasture of their contractor's ranch after every rodeo dumbass, and they're not just pushing up daisies. They're well fed, and the grass is very green, and there's not shortage of it. Nor is there any shortage of alfalfa for them to eat. They get very high quality feed.
Alexandros1294 5 months ago
@standingatthedoor If these horses were expendable, they wouldn't sell proven bucking horses for hundreds of thousands of dollars just to get more horses out of them in hopes that they will want to buck. Not every horse will buck the way one in a rodeo does, and not every horse wants to perform in a rodeo. Some horses are bred to run, some are bred to give milk, some are bred to sort cows, and just like these scenarios, there are horses that are bred to buck, and no horse is expendable.
Alexandros1294 5 months ago
@standingatthedoor Go check out any stock contractor's ranch and prove me wrong. Horses fall down occasionally. People fall down occasionally too. Does that make Track and Field a child abusing sport? No, it means that accidents happen. Injuries happen in every sport. Get over it. These horses are taken care of very well, and they are trained and bred to do what they do, and they love it.
Alexandros1294 5 months ago
@Alexandros1294 Rodeo is NOT A SPORT. The animals are not willing participants. They didn't agree to the rules, which are nothing more than PR for the gullible public. Another stupid 'accident' is going to take place, its just a matter of time, and sooner than you think. Tell us how the horses of Cheyenne love breaking their bodies for you, and where they went.
standingatthedoor 5 months ago
@standingatthedoor The animals are willing. If they weren't they wouldn't be so calm in the chute. Occasionally some will get excited and want to get out and buck early, so they'll fight around a bit. I would imagine Ike Sankey and all of the other contractors at Cheyenne would love to tell you how their horses are now. Not very many of them were injured at all this year. You're a pathetic, ignorant, loser.
