  • that girl sucks my teacher is much more ways better than that!

  • @sonista1 Probably the belly dancer is just an amateur or a stand-in contracted by the restaurant to perform for tourists who do not know any better.

  • BASICALLLY, Us Greeks are Considered middle Eastern (:

  • This dance is less complex than the others on YouTube, but I love it just the same. I think this dancer is great.

  • Well, this dancer is kind of...boring, no offense. But ADORE Nikol!!! Now, she is awesome!

  • I agree with you. Very boring. But her costume was okay.

  • kada bi znali kako je ovo smesno stvorenje...gledala sm je uzivo u ovoj taverni =D i was watching this dancer in this taverna...she is funny...

  • what the shame. very funny she can't move.

  • This Dancer isn't very good...

  • If you want stomach undulations, maybe you should watch part 2.

  • someone just sent me a message saying that the above is not belly dancing....the truth is that it is belly dancing. You said tsifte telli is different, no its not tsifte comes from the turkish word cifte and you know what the turks do with ciftte telli music......belly dance!

  • Well, I have to say that some people confuse arabic and turkish belly dance with greek belly dance....they are somehow different :) if you look to all of them you'll find that turkish and arabic are almost the same, but greek ones, as I sayd are a little different...

  • If someone of you want to see a quality belly dancer put : Sadie BellyDance

and see the one (by bellybunny) was viewed more than 4'135'000 times ... ;)

No need to be a specialist for see the difference.

  • Well, you do need to be educated enough to know that Sadie does an Americanized fusion, and her version is going to look different than a dancer from Greece, Egypt, or Turkey. Each style is different-it doesn't make one better than another.

  • Please be kind enough to re-read my message. There is no question of different versions but only of the quality (in artistic terms) of her moves and and her coordination with music; emotionally empty. And thank you for your recomandation regarding my education.

  • Belly dancing is prevalent in Greece, Turkey and Egypt. I can't tell the difference, but I understand that there are subtle differences.

  • the main differences in bellydance styles is the music and costume.

  • And don't forget movement. You wouldn't oft. see an Egyptian woman doing something outside of minimalist category or many Grecian doing African upper torso. :-)

  • @Pushkin62 In the 3 countries you mentioned the music as well as the dancing movements are pretty much alike, though the Egyptian style has more drums and the movements , the shaking is faster and more frequent.

If we move further east, say to Lebanon or Iran, you see that the movements consentrate all the more from the hips and UP, and in Iran the movements of the hands become the most inportent..no wonder..

    Regards from a dancer..

  • @europeer Thank you for your comments. I find belly dancing very exotic indeed - the music, the seductive hip movements etc.

  • i bet you claim that you own the bellydance as you claim you own doner kebab and yogurt as well

  • she cant belly dance my god

  • Is there a better video of a good belly dance?

  • type in arab belly dance that first video that appears she is good and i love the song

  • Shut up infidel. She is great!

  • infidel? are you fucking stupid? she is useless and she doesnt even shake well or use the muscles in her belly, ur the infidel malaka!

  • Cyprus-

It isn't called "belly dancing" because of belly movements. When it was brought to the USA, the term was coined because it would entice patrons to come to the show. Clothing was much more modest then, and showing the belly was a big deal. It is actually called Raks Sharki, Oriental Dance, Tsiftetelli, and other names-depending on the country. There are subtle differences as well in style-some use more upper body and belly moves, and others do not-it doesn't make it NOT belly dance.

  • My teacher said this as well, but secretly I feel she engaged me so I say nothing.

  • @CyprusHot CORRECT!!THANK YOU!
